Excellent advice! When I was working, some of the staff had to write technical reports - we had to capture the information that only they had acquired. Some of the staff were very reluctant/scared to write due to a perceived lack of skill. I discovered that the first draft an author writes can be the most difficult. However, that first draft can be very important, regardless of the quality. Much of the work after that is editing! The point is this - if you want to write, start writing! Don't allow the fear of a blank screen (or paper) stop you.
