FWIW, I believe you. I have had enough happen in my life that I know that God wills and works however He pleases.

I applaud you for heeding the Lord and walking away. There are few temptations as seductive as power and fame. To want to be “on the inside” and “knowing things” ordinary people don’t know. (Oh, the arrogance and hubris of mankind!) Just look at the number of hollowed out husks in our capitols that have sold their souls for the chance to be king of the dung heap. Head of the Trash Pile! Leader of the Beetles! For this, many have traded their very souls.

From the perspective of a believer, it’s laughable and pitiable, but I know that it is also very real. I’m glad you turned your back. Truly, if you had not, you would have been destroyed for the Kingdom. The real Kingdom, not the temporary, perishable one in DC.

As for what you post, and the length--all I can say is don’t be a people pleaser. Don’t chase your audience. Write what you need to write and let your audience chase you. Or not. Either way, be true to our Lord.

That is good advice - taken to heart. "Let your audience chase you." That is exactly what Janie, my wife, says. To reach the 'short-read' group, I start my "Johnny" short story fiction series this Thursday. When it arrives in your inbox, Kimberly, I would like your impact statement. I am having a lot of fun writing it. Since my objective is to reach the masses, I am including both styles - every week.

Well, there you go. Your beautiful wife, and myself, telling you the same thing. So: It’s unanimous! 😃

I will tell you what I think of your story, and look forward to reading it!

Balancing "impact" with the indwelling mission is a God-sized mission. My tutor told me less than 3% of readers do word-for-word reading. They do what is called the "Z scan," reading several words per paragraph. I want to ensure those few words hook them to read the full meal deal.

What? Z-scan? How do they learn anything? Do they do this with the Bible?

Well, hee haw, whaddya know! That explains a lot.

Ugh, this undoubtedly made worse by the scrolling mania. Click, scan, zap, click, scan, zap

It is true. Our research reveals that a writer or producer has 30 seconds to capture the attention of readers and viewers. The punch line demands to be the primary character. Although, this is not news for experienced writer.

I would agree wholeheartedly with Kimberley. Though it’s important to edit our material as we write. I fight the words to use flowery words. I loved the story. So interesting. Thanks for your candor and transparency😊

Thanks, Don. I'm not growing too many daisies over here. Lol.

In Oz we had a dynamic preacher as CEO of the Australian Christian Lobby. He preached a series on Babylon late last year and soon after was sacked by ACL. It seems he became too popular. His name is Martyn Iles and he has been employed by Ken Ham at Answers in Genesis. He has not looked back. The world of ambiguity is not for the indwelt.

Ken is a good man. Certainly, a brother worthy of integrity.

One may sense God moving in different realms of life, such as the political realm. Rarely do we have the opportunity to learn some of the details through the eyes of a witness. Although this essay is about the life of the author, who is a witness, we can see God moving in the political realm by the agency of the author. This is a rare and valuable account, not to be cast aside.
