FWIW, I believe you. I have had enough happen in my life that I know that God wills and works however He pleases.

I applaud you for heeding the Lord and walking away. There are few temptations as seductive as power and fame. To want to be “on the inside” and “knowing things” ordinary people don’t know. (Oh, the arrogance and hubris of mankind!) Just look at the number of hollowed out husks in our capitols that have sold their souls for the chance to be king of the dung heap. Head of the Trash Pile! Leader of the Beetles! For this, many have traded their very souls.

From the perspective of a believer, it’s laughable and pitiable, but I know that it is also very real. I’m glad you turned your back. Truly, if you had not, you would have been destroyed for the Kingdom. The real Kingdom, not the temporary, perishable one in DC.

As for what you post, and the length--all I can say is don’t be a people pleaser. Don’t chase your audience. Write what you need to write and let your audience chase you. Or not. Either way, be true to our Lord.

In Oz we had a dynamic preacher as CEO of the Australian Christian Lobby. He preached a series on Babylon late last year and soon after was sacked by ACL. It seems he became too popular. His name is Martyn Iles and he has been employed by Ken Ham at Answers in Genesis. He has not looked back. The world of ambiguity is not for the indwelt.
