Setting the Will on the spiritual is key to discernment, especially in the midst of confusion and turmoil.

John 7:16–17

[16] So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me. [17] If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority.

God Bless you Dr Phinney. Have shared before that I'm a new Christ follower. My brain(?) tries to steer me into past ways of thinking. Seems like a battle at times. Through Christ this will subside, I pray.

Thank u, Dr. Phinney, for this article. It speaks loudly and directly at something, my will, that can be the resolution to the dilemma of sin or obedience through faith to God’s word. You make it very clear, it is a choice that can be made by Christ in us if we are focused on God’s truth from the very beginning of our day. That will become the pattern of my life rather than letting sin get a stronghold in me which makes it easier to sin each time the temptation arises. But my will, which becomes God’s will if I am compliant to His word in me, will be what rules and guides my life❣️

I will continue to ponder on this, for it’s deep, not simple, but could be life changing. Thank u again and God bless❣️🍒
