This was so encouraging. Thank you to your wife for her upbuilding words. I love that question that our Heavenly father asks us, 'what are our trials testings, difficulties challenges teaching about us?' What is it we are to learn and glean from these experiences? What parts of our character & nature need to be refined, need to be crucified to bring forth more the character & example of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the fruits of the spirit? How are we responding? Are we being critical, moaning, complaining, falling into self-pity, despair? Or do we rid ourselves of malicious, mean, angry statements, irritability, defamatory thoughts filled and replaced only with kindness, love, humility gentleness, patience, Godly thoughts, being selfless, giving, forgiving, & being forbearing. Learning endurance and how to overcome in Christ Jesus. Responding in a way that will only bring our father in Heaven honour & glory, being grateful & thanking Him for reminding us of how much we always need Him & to depend upon Him, call upon Him in every moment in each second by second.
Mrs. Phinney, thank you for your heartfelt writing, especially about dealing with hurtful people in our life. It is tough and I still get offended, a lot. God is certainly a good Teacher and so full of mercy! We need it. God bless you, Wendy
