Stephen, I LOVE this. Well done. Dreams are peculiar things indeed. Gave me chills. Reminds me of my (long) short story Echo Of Reality at the top of my Substack about one man’s journey from the darkness of a cave to the light above, both metaphorically and experientially. Darkness always flees from light. Certain men love to be clothed in darkness while retreating from the Light but there is always a remnant of goodness. Please keep writing these. Jim
This submission was very difficult for me. I tend to be a straight forward Truth writer. When asked to include mood and story elements, I knew I was challenged to step outside of my box. Secondly, I didn't learn how to read or write until I married my wife. Thus, my grammar, spelling and sentence structure has been a massive challenge. I've been told I am a literary miracle. I laugh. Sometimes weep. For I know, it is not I who writes but Christ who writes within me. Thanks for your encouraging words.
Thanks Stephen. That’s actually encouraging for me as I am in the infancy of my craft. I can put two words together but three is a stretch. 😉 I’ve been fortunate to have had help from some gifted writers along the way. One problem I have is rushing to get something completed rather than letting it marinate in the noggin a bit. So long as we glorify Him I suppose our readers will forgive our grammatical and structural mistakes, especially in my case. I consider it a privilege to call you a brother in Christ. Blessings my friend. Jim
AND, I consider finding you in Substack an honor. I, too, believe our Lord put us together as friends and co-laborer's in Christ. By the way, my friends call me "Steve." You certainly are a friend and brother. Keep those articles coming. I love reading your stuff. -Steve

It's my honor, brother.
