Prophecy: Oil in Your Lamp. Nearly 70% of born-again Christians DON'T believe that Jesus is the only way.
"Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. But at midnight there was a shout, 'Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.' Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. The foolish said to the prudent, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the prudent answered, 'No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.' "And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. Later the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, lord, open up for us.' "But he answered, 'Truly I say to you, I do not know you.' "Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.” (Matthew 25:1-13)
Did you know that 33% of American "Christians" pastors do not believe Jesus is God? Furthermore, 50% of Americans who believe in Jesus don't believe He is the Son of God. Nearly 70% of born-again Christians DON'T believe that Jesus is the only way. The most devastating statistic is this - only 10% of all reported Christians believe being possessed by the Holy Spirit equals salvation. How is this possible? What has happened to the “virgins” of the church? Could it be that they are not authentic virgins?
The church as a whole is suffering from demonic doctrines. You know the gig - mixing toxic beliefs that rise against the sound doctrines of the Living God. Our church statistics prove the Bible’s warnings of an Apostasy that must come.
Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)
The Antichrist cannot take his seat in the third and final temple until sound doctrines are mixed with lies from the father of lies. Satan cannot rule unless he himself opposes and exalts himself above EVERY god and form of worship. Satan will always fall short of displaying himself as being God until one simple factor happens - he has successfully mixed his demonic doctrines with the refined absolutes of God, which makes God’s absolutes relative. How else would Satan make 70% of born-again Christians accept the lie that Jesus is NOT the only way to the Father? Don’t tell me demonic doctrines cannot overpower self-proclaimed “Christians.” The proof that is in the pudding tells us otherwise.
What is up with some of the ten virgins being without oil?
God has meticulously compared salvation and the Kingdom of God to ten virgins. Rightly so. In Jesus’s analogy, there are two types of virgins. Some went to meet Jesus, their Groom, without an ounce of oil in their lamps. While claiming to be the Lord’s Bridal members, they skipped one step. No oil. The others, diligent and responsible, made sure that they had oil in their lamps at all times - not knowing the hour of His gathering of authentic Bridal members through the Rapture.
The oil in this analogy is the Holy Spirit. Oil has always been the symbol of the Holy Spirit - the healing balm of redemption. The lamp itself is the symbol of the physical bodies that supposedly are the temple of the Holy Spirit. The flame is the eternal light of the Life of Christ through the oil ignited by indwelt believers' passion. In our story, some were walking around claiming to be the Bride of Christ while having NO indwelling oil - the Holy Spirit. Meanwhile, the faithful remained clear about the importance of the full formula of oil, the lamp, and the igniting of their passion to light up a dark world. If I remember correctly, that is the point of a lit lamp.
Five of these virgins, 50%, were foolish. This happens to be the exact percentage of our American pastors. As the foolish virgins began to tire in waiting for the return of their Groom, they all fell into a stupor. As soon as the foolish realized they were without oil, they expected the faithful to give up some of their oil, the Holy Spirit - the faithful realizing they needed all of their oil to make the passage to their Groom. In a panic, the foolish rush to purchase more oil. In the meantime, the Groom arrives to take His Bride to the place He had prepared for the faithful. In shock, the foolish miss the opportunity to be Raptured by their beloved Groom.
How many “Christians” are like the foolish virgins? Well, if we believe in the percentages Christ made use of - 50% of the world’s foolish “Christians” who believed in their Groom but were without the Holy Spirit will be left in shock, thinking the Grace of the Groom will excuse their irresponsibility. Fifty percent of those self-proclaimed virgins realized - no oil, no salvation.
We can safely say that the foolish “Christian” virgins integrated demonic doctrines into their beliefs of their Groom by not keeping to the mandate set forth by the Groom - no oil, no redemption.
I have always supported the 90 - 10 tithing percentages apply to these passages:
"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.” (Matthew 7:13) 90%
"For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:14) 10%
The sobering fact is, in the end, few have oil in their lamps when the great gathering of His Saints occurs. Many who thought they were His Bridal members are actually “Christ-followers” and not authentically indwelt with the oil of the Holy Spirit. Lazy and irresponsible “believers” lose in the end. It seems unfair; however, Jesus gave all of us plenty of warnings. He laid out the narrow path while warning us how narrow it was.
Jesus said these words:
"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?” (Matthew 7:15-16)
Yes, my reader, it is all about the fruit. Bad trees bear bad fruit. Every grape from the BRANCH, Jesus’s indwelling Life, bears good fruit and a fruit that produces everlasting Life. It might be wise of us to test ourselves to see if we are products of plastic trees or the Tree of Life.
Great word Stephen. Shame on those so-called pastors. I believe they’ve discovered that if they pander to todays culture they will grow their church and likewise their pocket books. Folks like Joel Osteen make me ill. What is wrong with the folks who attend there? They must be encouraged to NOT read their Bible lest they discover serious flaws in their pastors teachings and call them out. Whatever happened to testing all things. I’m sure I read that somewhere. 😉 These pastors need a good talking to. 😡
I’ve always loved the gem where God says of David, that he was a man after Gods own heart. Indicates the need for our heart to be right. We raised our kids with that example. I write to pass that on to their kids and to encourage them. Some don’t listen. We have 8 kids. 7 daughters and a son. 13-37. We raised them in the mega church environment. Sad to say half of them are really hazed by treatment of leadership. They were serving as leaders etc...but you never stop being a parent, so we still influence them.
