It makes me ask: Aren’t we only now exhibiting the outward manifestation of being a spiritually leprous culture? Have we had ears to hear? Eyes to see? Have we tasted of the Lord, or only of our own diseased excesses?

God began speaking to me of humility and repentance several years ago. I praise a Lord who is merciful and just. Did we think His justice would never come bc mercy stayed it?

What hubris!

Come, Lord Jesus!

To answer your question: What do I think of your article? I think it’s excellent. It connects the dots of prophecy and scripture to culture and current events. It is warning and it is confirmation.

It makes me think, and for that you are appreciated greatly.

I used to be very involved in politics. Nothing like Dr. Phinney, but still, I have stories. Politics seduced me from my first love, Jesus, and America became an idol. Here’s the kicker: I thought I was doing right. I will praise God every day for redeeming me--God is so faithful!

I have withdrawn from that life, but before I did, as part of my re-awakening or whatever you would call it, I was shaken to my core by the blatant sin--mostly of pride--the bloodlust for control is palpable. Once you see, you can’t unsee.

I would find myself gasping, and asking, “Do you not fear God?”

I was laughed at. They give lip service but do not fear the one and true living God. Hard hearts mock God.

Come, Lord Jesus!! We love you and we need you!

It is a messy business. And I mean messy. It takes a strong believer to wade through the swamps of DC. I prefer a boat, like Noah. It keeps the destruction under my feet.

Our Laodicean churches have no idea what is coming. The climate changers are wetting themselves over the storm activity, and we drink their cool aid. Wait till the plagues hit, it will be a stampede to the Antichrist.

They certainly don't. I don't care for their cool aid. I prefer drinking from the cup of living water.

It reminds me that those healed of leprosy were to go show themselves to the priests to confirm their healing and to make an offering. For centuries before Jesus ministered, I wonder how many times this ceremony was conducted? During his life, the ceremony could have been conducted many times! The priests had no excuse to reject Jesus.

Luke 5:14 And he charged him to tell no one, but “go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a proof to them.” (ESV)

Exactly. Jesus certainly understood the importance of authoritative confirmation.
