I have known whole congregations that had "dispensationalism" used against them. It was erroneously stated that "the Book of Revelation is sealed until after the rapture…", so it is not for us to clearly understand. Also, the response to end time prophecies of many that I have known is to "shut down" for various reasons. What those who "shut down" have in common is that they do not believe (beyond mental assent) their identity in Christ, or their roles, pre and post rapture. They desire to experience the thrill of victory without enduring the painful challenges and victories of today.

The popular saying "I'd rather be gathered" is NEVER an appropriate response to our Lord in this last hour.

"Iron sharpens iron" - I really appreciate your writings on this important subject!

That is exactly why I don't do labels - dispensationalism or whatever. God gave us the Word, and its prophecies to openly see the heart of our Father. Pre, mid, or post-toasty, it doesn't matter the views of humanity. Facts are facts. What matters is God said, we read it, and the Holy Spirit interprets it. The only thrill for us is in sharing in HIS sufferings.

I did read Revelations last year (did not understand it all). Have read the Gospel. Kind of all over the place in reading the Holy Bible. Grateful that you are addressing all that we need to understand.

Wait until you read tomorrow's entry - packed with chronological understanding - "The Revelation Connection."

I didn't come to Christ until a late stage in life, but when i did, i jumped in fully. I love studying eschatology and now prophecy. I used to be of the mind that when folks said we're in End Times, that was something people always said, always saw signs.

But as an autodidactic political analyst (personal hobby) i cannot find any historical precedents that match up with the world's current and numerous catastrophes. Disasters of all types, horrors of war across the world, natural disasters, worldwide iatrocide and the very real and imminent threat of a tyrannical governance.

Perhaps it is time. I have studied the various Rapture/Tribulation interpretations and i still remain unsure which it will be. But i do know this, NOW is the time to get right with God. Do it now, with all your heart. You will be saved.

I couldn't agree more - "Now is the time to get right with God. Do it now, with all your heart." The answers are scattered throughout the Scriptures. The challenging work is devoting oneself to discovering the birth pangs of the End Times.

It is challenging. But my *personal* challenges are more difficult and more important. Eschatology is just one of my side gigs. 😎

I get that. Strengthening our walk in the Spirit is a top priority.

In order to understand Revelation better:

Daniel 10

Isaiah (all of it, in my book)

Ezekiel 38

and other books cross referenced in Revelation. I'm doing my own study of Daniel to better understand our glorious future and our hope in Him who will bring us Home. It's not a pretty picture and the timeline switching gets confusing, but I feel it's worth it.

Absolute Truth in your conclusion. May you be empowered by your studies in Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel, and the Book of Revelation.

Oh yeah, and let's not forget Jeremiah 10:23. I just read that today and thought Daniel also studied Jeremiah. All these books will bring us to where He wants us to be.

Thank you!

Love it—one of my 'go-to' verses. Since a man's way cannot be found in himself, IF the Holy Spirit is living within that "man," He then can direct his steps through the Holy Spirit. Amen?

AMEN! In all honesty the Holy Spirit doesn't work fast enough for me at times...like now. LOL

Rennae, I get that. Totally!
