I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father. (2 John 1:4)
A question I am frequently asked is, why is child trafficking on the rise? Another question asked is why our children are being doped by the woke culture. Both questions deserve righteous answers. The short answer is - parents are not guarding and protecting their children. The full answer is more complex.
CHILDREN RAISED IN LIES
Children raised in cultural lies are like seeds planted in infertile soil. They may grow, but their growth is stunted, their potential unfulfilled, and worse yet, their parents are not monitoring what their children are being taught.
It’s the parent’s responsibility to nurture them with the Truth of the Word of God, allowing them to flourish into well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to an authentic Christian society. It’s important to foster an environment of open dialogue and critical thinking to help children discern God’s Truth from falsehood. Remember, the strength of a tree lies in its roots, and the roots of our children should be in the soil of the Gospel.
Depraved evil and demonic lies that infiltrate the minds of our children are like invasive weeds in a garden, threatening to choke the Life of Christ out of the beautiful life planned by God the Father, His Truth, their innocence, and potential to be workers for the Kingdom of God. It’s our duty as parents to uproot these lies and plant seeds of righteousness in Christ, integrity, and wisdom that comes down from above, fostering an environment where our children can grow and flourish in the light and Life of Jesus Christ.
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. (James 3:14-15)
It’s crucial to equip our children with the tools to discern truth from falsehood, promote critical thinking, and foster a culture of open dialogue with their parents while maintaining mutual respect. Remember, the future of our society lies in the hands of our children, and it’s our responsibility to guide them toward a path of truth and righteousness.
PREDATORS
Predators brainwashing our children is akin to a dark cloud casting a shadow over the bright future of our young ones.
It’s a call to action for every parent, educator, and responsible citizen to stand as vigilant guardians of innocence and truth. We must equip our children with the armor of God’s knowledge, the shield of critical thinking in Christ, and the sword of discernment to combat these insidious influences, which is the Word of God. Remember, the safety and well-being of our children are the pillars upon which the future of our society rests. It’s crucial that we train our children with the Bible, educate our children about potential dangers, and empower them to make informed decisions that match the Word of Truth. Our collective effort can help safeguard our children from such threats.
NEGLECTFUL PARENTS
Neglectful parents who allow others to train their children are like gardeners who abandon their gardens to the elements. The seeds of potential in the children may not get the right nurturing to bloom into their full potential. It’s a reminder that parenting is not just a responsibility but a privilege, an opportunity to shape the future by guiding young minds in and toward the Word of Truth. After all, God entrusted them to their parents.
Due to the massive exodus of fathers from the home, forced divorces, and our moms being forced into the workforce, some find it impossible to raise their children under such circumstances. In other cases, there are plenty of families that neglect their role as mothers and fathers and choose to allow outsiders to raise and educate their children.
In both cases, the government’s educational system (public schools) steps in to become surrogate parents.
The endgame becomes what the teachers believe becomes the bible of sorts for the children. This ideology, by the way, is the same within a home where the child is trained by both parents.
Remember, every child is a mirror to the beliefs of the “parent” who raises them. It’s our duty as parents to ensure that this mirrored image reflects the light and Life of Jesus Christ. It’s crucial that parents take an active role in their children’s upbringing, providing Biblical guidance, Christ-centered love, and church support while also teaching them to navigate the world independently with what they have been taught.
Predators are individuals who steal our children’s minds by acting like parental figures. This can be seen in human trafficking, public schools, some private schools, and even those babysitters. One of the leading predators is our government, who manages children via teachers who must sign-on to regulations of culture, verbiage, and intrusive educational ideologies.
Government Institutions as Predators
The upbringing of children is a complex task from a government perspective. Early on, the government’s system involved various stakeholders, including parents, educators, and the government. However, the roles and responsibilities of these entities have changed significantly. Today, the government believes they are the PRIMARY parental figure in our children’s lives. Honestly, and largely, they are right. Since parents have evacuated their roles, either by force or choice, the government sees no other option.
The Role of Parents
Parents should play a crucial role in the upbringing of their children - even in a government setting. God appointed them as the first teachers and role models for their children, shaping their Biblical values, behaviors, and attitudes. Parents provide emotional support, instill discipline, and teach social norms and life skills. They understand their children’s unique needs, strengths, and weaknesses, allowing them to tailor their parenting strategies accordingly. Therefore, parents’ involvement in their children’s lives is irreplaceable and vital for their overall development. But what happens when parents neglect these responsibilities?
The Role of Government as Parents
The government, on the other hand, has a broader role in child-rearing. It sets policies and regulations that protect children’s rights, ensure their safety, and promote their welfare. The system teaches them to rule their households from the bottom up - the child rules the home in beliefs and behaviors. Since the government provides public education, what the public believes regarding cultural beliefs becomes the curriculum for the schools. When parents refuse to support these beliefs, child abuse is declared by the governing institution. What do the schools do? They call in healthcare services, and social programs that support the child’s rights. They also enforce laws that protect children from their abusive, neglectful, and the Biblical, or conservative exploitation of the responsible parents. Thus, the government plays the most significant parental role in creating a combative environment for child in the homes of their guardian or parent. The results? The Biblical principle of training up your children goes upside wrong.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
Parents vs. Government
While both parents and the government used to have an important role in child rearing, this is not the case today. In our culture today, their responsibilities compete rather than complement each other. Parents have the primary responsibility for their children’s upbringing. Our public schools no longer believe this. Since the average parent does not provide the love, care, and guidance that children need on a daily basis, the government deems it necessary to do so - in their own way. However, parents feel like they have no other choice, so they leave the training in the hands of tax support educators, who are turning more and more woke by the day. Most parents realize because of their own limitations they cannot do everything on their own. They believe they need support from the government in the form of quality or not public services while being forced to tolerate child-rights policies, government safety, and a healthier environment than that of today’s homes.
The government, for its part, has become a perpetrator of sorts - brainwashing our children’s minds to match their morbid interests.
My wife and I did our due diligence on researching this topic long before our children reached school age. We decided to homeschool. That, of course, required us to make the decision that Jane would not work outside the home. That decision required me to be the primary provider for our family - even in ministry. It also required the two of us to NEVER consider divorce - for any reason. Thus, we were required to stay faithful to the Biblical mandate and model of a Biblical home, which was we are the primary educators of our children. However, we are not ignorant. We know because of the lion’s share of divorces and fathers vacating their homes, women have been forced to live out an ungodly model of releasing others to train up their children. We have grieved over this misnomer for more than forty years.
CHILD TRAFFICKING
Without question, we believe the primary reason the child trafficking numbers are out of control is because of one simple factor - children are left to themselves, unprotected, with few to monitor their lives. Children have become their own parent figures, protectors, and, in many cases, providers. This makes them the most vulnerable humans on the face of the planet. Why wouldn’t abductors target them? For the predators, it is like taking candy from a baby, or should I say feeding candy to them to capture them.
The solution is to pull your children from the public school system and homeschool them.
Now, we know that is an “impossibility” in many cases, so, we offer a Family Safety Guide. Download it HERE. However, if you have the resources and abilities to homeschool, do it.
Homeschooling offers the following benefits that can contribute to a child’s overall development:
Flexibility: Homeschooling allows for a flexible schedule that can be tailored to the child’s needs. This can be particularly beneficial for students with learning or health challenges.
Individualized Education: Homeschooling provides the opportunity for personalized learning (Biblical learning), catering to the child’s unique strengths, weaknesses, and interests.
Strong Relationships: Homeschooling often strengthens parent-child relationships and friendships. It also allows for quality family time.
Safe Learning Environment: Homeschooling can protect children from negative aspects of school environments, such as bullying, wokism, and peer pressure.
Broad Curriculum: Homeschooling allows for a broad curriculum that includes practical skills, volunteering, artistic pursuits, Biblical training, and traditional trades.
Independence: Homeschooling can foster independence and boost confidence spiritually, psychologically, and physically.
However, it’s important to note that homeschooling also comes with its own set of challenges, such as the potential for caregiver burnout, reduced access to resources and support services, and the need for parents to balance their roles as both parents and teachers. Therefore, it is imperative that parents become members of a trusted Homeschool support group to ensure success.
In the grand symphony of education, parents play the role of the first and most influential conductors. They set the rhythm, tune the instruments, and guide the melody of their children’s learning journey. As primary educators, parents have the unique privilege and responsibility to shape their children’s minds, instill Biblical values, and ignite the spark of curiosity of Christ, Culture & Creator.
