Dr. Phinney...what a powerful testimony of transformation and steadfast faith! It’s truly inspiring to see how deeply you've embraced the teachings and love of Christ, turning past challenges into opportunities for spiritual growth and strength. Your commitment to living a life rooted in God’s truth and love is a wonderful reminder of the unshakeable power of divine love to change lives. Keep shining His light in all that you do!
Thank you, Matt. I thank God for the messy past. If it wasn't for our past, we wouldn't have our present. I have learned that by embracing the past as a long-lost friend, my future is secure no matter the challenges. It is likened to reading the Old Testament, without it, the New Testament is impotent, which makes the book of Revelation pointless.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. (ESV)
Dr. Phinney, the tree of knowledge was the knowledge of good and evil, from which Adam and Eve sadly ate the forbidden fruit. God was trying to protect them from sorrow. They left behind the sweet fellowship with the Father and humanity has suffered. I continue to cling to God daily, sometimes in stumble fashion but I never let go. Thank you for this writing! Wendy

"Fear blocks love" -

The context in chapter 4 is excellent to study.
Wendy
