For me as a returned Prodigal to the Christian faith, I wandered through all of this that you mention and rebellion was steep in my spirit. My rebellion came mainly from grief and anger. Each person is unique and how grateful I am for the Father's mercy toward each of us brokenhearted. He knows how to address our pain and step by step, leads us up and out of it , into service to others who may have been through similar things and we act as a testament to the goodness of God.
