Have you ever tried to reconcile with someone whom you had not yet forgiven for their part? If you have, you know that things go bad at the first reaction of your attempt. It takes the mind (life) of Christ within you to do the extending and seeking forgiveness of another. As most us know, that can’t happen until an indwelt believer appropriates his/her identity in Christ. Once a Body member of Christ begins to function from his true identity in Christ, there is strength and grace released that is beyond himself–ability, I might add, that gives him the same abilities of Christ to resolve conflict with others.
