HELPING A SISTER IN CHRIST

Dr. Stephen Phinney: Support isn’t just kindness—it’s spiritual warfare. It fortifies the weary, rekindles faith in the brokenhearted, and reminds each believer that they are seen, and important.

There is profound power in supporting our brothers and sisters in Christ. When we uplift one another—through prayer, encouragement, presence, or practical help—we become living extensions of God’s love on earth. Scripture tells us that when one member suffers, all suffer together, and when one is honored, all rejoice together (1 Corinthians 12:26). That’s the beauty of the body of Christ: no one walks alone.

In a world growing colder, our unity becomes a blazing testimony of God’s kingdom, and I want to burn up a need my sister has.

I met Wendy here on Substack. She became one of my first Subscribers. As I got to know her, I realized she was a female version of me - blunt, passionate about Christ, and full of it. We have become fast friends.

At 73 years of age, living alone and struggling to make ends meet - living hand to mouth, I would like to blow her socks off by recruiting fifty “one-time” supporters of $5+, and ten monthly supporters at the tune of $10+. This will assist in “stopping the bleeding.”

I need your help to accomplish this gift from the Lord!

Prayerfully consider joining my little campaign and give through the link below. While she never complains, my heart breaks for her regarding her needs. Please consider helping in this expression of love.

Wendy in her own words:

I’m a self-described “blunt Oregon girl” on Substack, writing candidly about the chaos of the sexual revolution and the damage it inflicted on me, my Boomer generation, and those who followed. A returned Prodigal to the faith of Jesus Christ, I am a conservative elder, born in 1952.

My mission is to “encourage the discouraged.” My core ministry reaches the brokenhearted and the working poor—a group I’ve been part of for over 40 years. I have deep compassion for the financially overwhelmed, which is why I keep my minimum donation under $5. I know the value of even a single dollar. Sometimes, the simple act of giving one or two dollars is a revolutionary act.

I also share my lifelong love of all things fabric, garments, style, and makeup.

Stay tuned—this is going to be fun. Visit her Substack HERE.
