This is a cracker Stephen. I am reminded of the great question of Pilot to Jesus; “What is truth?” In this question is the foundation of spiritual war. You help keep me at the feet of Jesus.

I am assuming "cracker" is good? Lol. This inspiration came from reading a newsfeed article on my friend, the CEO of a large social network platform who recently converted to reconstructionism. Sad.

You bet it is good. Sorry for the Aussieism.

I admit openly here that I have been more in the reconstructionist camp, but you have given me much to pray about here. People like Eric Metaxas are very persuasive, but I bow to your deeper understanding and the indwelling Jesus stirring my soul. I agape Yahweh with all I am. I am teachable as a result.

This is certainly an ideology worth praying about. Reconstructionism makes sense to those who want to take charge of the world's evils. It helps them self-opinionate and "make a difference." The covert lie is Jesus Christ is in control, He allows man to destroy the world as they see it, and He waits until humanity is without solutions - then He comes like a thief in the night and a storm rolling over the hills of human thought.

I struggle with this, as well. Always trying to wake people up and not giving up. Praying to God every minute I can to help me deal with the anger I feel. Sadness too.

Well, Kalliann, join the crowd. We all feel those things. We live in such a world of ambiguity where people disregard immovable absolutes. I am saddened by this often. You are in good company.

It’s too complicated for many to understand. Doesn’t it come down to discipling ourselves to get His word in our hearts , that we might not sin against Him? We can give lip service as believers but in truth most of us believers barely scratch at knowing and living the word.of God in our lives. Hence the same divorce rates ,etc. ...

I am not sure what all that has to do with reconstructionism. What you said is valuable.

Without Jesus in you, ambiguity of Satan will guard your heart from truth, so that “What is truth?”, becomes a persuasive mode of thinking without even knowing it. Repent and believe. If good enough for Christ, I am all in.

Honestly - God appoints guys like me to bring movements into the light of exposure. While most don't give these movements a second thought, the masses of Christianity are slowly duped into taking a free ride on deceptions of plurality, such as reconstructionism. Most don't do a background check on Bible teachers until it is too late. Know this, deconstructionism is the most dangerous self-empowered movement out there.

Meant to say disciplining ourselves or allowing ourselves to be discipled😊 by His word.

There is important Truth to consider here when determining one's own beliefs regarding the end-times.

Well then, Keith, I hit the target. The reconstruction movement is out of control in the Christian community. Christian reconstructionism began with the publication of the Institute of Biblical Law by R. J. Rushdoony in 1973. Francis Shaffer adopted it, and after this, the Theonomic Movement took off. Sad to say, it was popularized by the misnomer of perfecting the law within oneself, which removes the Biblical doctrines of Christ in you. It is another facade of living by the law vs. the indwelling Life. A believer cannot disciple themselves, Jesus does this by using others who walk in the Spirit to grow another to look inwardly AT the Life of Christ.

I’m a futurist, leaving exactly when the ‘rapture’ will happen, to Him. I find that His Word has always shown me He’s got this, and always has. He’s not a high 5, Big Guy, kinda god. He is El Shaddai, Almighty God, I Am!!! Alpha & Omega.

Preterist, or reconstructionists seems like their taking us back to ‘works’ for the salvation of mankind.

I found this to be helpful:

You have done an invaluable service (at least for me) with this essay, by identifying another demonic narrative moving in religious circles. I can perceive its' harmful influence moving in the "patriot" political movements. Religion and idolatry is so egotistical!

Thank you for sharing and saving me a lot of work!

That is what brothers are for! Keith, I have a lot of respect for you. Your willingness to be taught and fortified in Christ is commendable. Any and all acts of reconstruction rob Jesus of the pleasure of revealing His redemptive power to construct His mission of deliverance.

Prophets provide unrivaled clarity which can expose the truth of hidden idols and doctrines of devils - I'm very thankful for the clarity!

This "reconstruction" is like attempting to turn Sodom & Gomorrah into a godly utopia - by works of the flesh. "reconstruction" IS a work of the flesh & we understand what THAT is about!

The reason reconstructionism is so dangerous is because it is the method Satan, the Antichrist, will use to rebuild the world after humanity makes it devastated. After the great flood, God said he would never flood the Earth again. He sealed it with a promise, the rainbow. This left humanity with the power to destroy the Earth on its own, which is what humanity is doing today. The Antichrist attempts to restore it through reconstruction but fails. As prophecy reveals, after God allows the efforts of humanity & the Antichrist to fail, all are removed from the Earth. Then, and only then, God baptizes the Earth with fire.

Key note: All of humanity & the Earth must go through three baptisms: water (great flood), spirit (arrival of Christ), and fire (the End Times purification). Once all three occur, the New Heaven & Earth can be opened to those who believed and endured to the end.

Thank you for this, Dr Phinney. Still can't figure out if the Rapture is before the Tribulation? Perhaps it is a mystery? We are probably not supposed to question this? New here😊

From my studies, the sequence is apostasy, then the Rapture, the seven-year reign of the Antichrist (Tribulation), and then the 1,000-year reign of Christ.

Gotcha. It organically came from the doctrines of the Masonic Templars. They believe "God" called them to gain control over governments, build the New Jerusalem, and hand it over to the Christ of the world. Other Christians like Rushdoony, Shaffer, Gary North, and others adopted the doctrines, Christianized them, and influenced the modern church.

The masons always seemed kind of goofy to me. The Masonic Templar has been romanticized in our culture, in the movies, etc, but it’s influence is in our buildings in every city and dates back to 1700s. How does it all relate to what the regular believer of Jesus believes in? Who doesn’t know these complicated terminology? How can we help others to simply follow the truth in Gods word without all the complicated words. I’m afraid Their eyes glaze over at such talk

Agreed. True believers need to stick to the Word, from within as well as the written Word - bypassing culturally friendly translations. Discipleship is all about growing believers in understanding the dangers of cultural interpretations of God's initial Words. That is what Biblical Paul was good at. I am just a "Paul" in our generation - keeping the authenticity of the Gospel first preached. My job is to uncomplicate what supposed Bible teachers complicate.

I think it all comes down to the authority of scripture. I hear your pain Donald and it is real. Your spirit is groaning at the simplicity of Yahweh for those that believe Gal 2:20 KJV. Satan is the instigator of ambiguity. Once you buy into “Did God say?”, the snowball forms. Yahweh hates denominational boundaries, hence the prophecy to Sardis. One Christ, one truth.

Agreed. We are one in Christ, and we are ONE church - His Body and Temple for His Spirit.
