The end time will be a time of great famine mostly brought on by world dominating governments, who have been taking control of our food supplies for many years by concentrating people in cities and relying on mass produced "food" grown on farms many miles away from population centres.
But this type of control has been going on for centuries- the Irish potato famine was not caused by the potatoes disease that was just the last straw. The 'great British empire" directly caused the famine in Ireland by exporting food to England when the local people were starving. A similar 'German Potato Famine" happened about the same time, and was caused by the German government doing similar things to their poor.
There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

We need to rely on God for our food and trust in him to provide for us.
You are spot on, Martin. Thank you! Government sponsored food management programs, or coercions, is not God’s design to feed the hungry. As you stated, the end times will be filled with famine and food shortage. Why? To control those desperate to survive. If the Body of Christ does their part in sharing their food and money with the less fortunate, the forthcoming famines will have little effect on God’s precious children.
