We live in a world of spies, even within our closest friend list & families. You know the type. Those who live a double life as an informant, acting loyal while filled with tedium and betrayal.

SPIES OF HATRED

With a smile, they watch secretly to gather data to destroy you ultimately, as Jesus warned us, sometimes unto death.  

“Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. “You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.” (Matthew 10:21-22)

What father would murder his child? What child would murder their parents, and why? First of all, murder has two sides to its two-faced descry. One side is plotting to terminate life by one’s hand. The other face is far more clandestinely. This side plots to murder by destroying a reputation, which activates slow erode unto death.  So, what would cause a relative or “friend” to plot such hideous hostility covered over in the name of “peace?”  In my mind, that is a duh – jealousy.

Years ago, I was asked by the FBI to be an Apprentice Agent, an informant. The department explained the crisis at hand – a local pastor was using his mega-church as a drug distribution center & human trafficking network for the youth, disclosing the pastor was working closely with the International Satan Church. Being young and naive, I signed on. After months of training, I was ready. My job was to infiltrate the church, gain the friendship & favor of the pastor, and gather names and such for my supervisor. Long story short, the bureau “busted” one of the largest underground drug & human trafficking cases at the time.

While I “felt” great about saving thousands of young people from the hands of the Satanist, I was not prepared for the “kick-back.” My next case involved “counseling” a high official of the Satanic church. Not good. Being wet behind the ears with all this clandestine stuff made me unprepared for the outcome. My ministry and family came under such horrific threats that the agency was forced to protect us bodily.

As I look back on my period of serving our country in such a manner, I was awakened to glimpses of the world of refined deception. Since those days, I have become wiser regarding “spies in the land,” particularly within the church.

Then the Pharisees went and plotted how to entangle Him in His words. And they sent their disciples to Him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God truthfully, and you do not care about anyone's opinion, for you are not swayed by appearances. Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” (Matthew 22:15-17)

Not every “Grace believer” is to be trusted.

For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:4)

If you are under the impression that Satan doesn’t have spies in the Church, you are deceived. This could include family, friends, or church members. However, many of these so-called spies are completely ignorant of what they are. On the other hand, droves of them know exactly what they are doing – to propagate hate toward Jesus Christ while two-facing their “love” for Him. Each accomplishes this through temporary loyalty and carefully constructed fake love. As they say, here today, gone tomorrow. Where did they go, and what are they doing with the private data they obtained during their temporary loyalty?   

Reader, we live in the culture of betrayal that Jesus warned us would come. Think about it. “Christians” murdering one another in the proximities of silence. As our daily news reveals, many are killing their parents by the end of a gun barrel. Children are fading into the cultural modality of dishonor. Masses of children have deconstructed their faith in Christ and shifted into forming their religion through self-as-god, ‘My Truth.” “Brothers & sisters” in and outside of Christ working behind the scenes to murder the honorable – all by hiding it under the banner of Christianized gossip or the ”right” to remove others that do not align with their beliefs.

“What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” (James 4:1-4)

Believers who understand “the times” are typically rejected the most. Remember when Jesus said, A prophet is not welcome in his hometown and even within his household? Fact. Bridal members of Christ who hear, listen, and obey what is spoken at the Throne are in for a world of hate. Why? Even indwelt Christians resist hearing the prophetic spoken words of Christ. To avoid hearing, they unplug those that do.

God’s children are never barred from His Throne of Grace. We’re like the wise men in the days of Ahasuerus, who always had access to the king’s presence. Romans 5:2 says we have “access by faith into this grace in which we stand.” Ephesians 2:18 says, “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.” And Ephesians 3:12 says, “In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.”

Get Your Intel From The Throne of God

I hear weekly from readers from all around the globe. One of the most asked questions is, How can I hear the voice of God? If this person fears entering the Throne room due to what God might say, answering the question becomes fruitless. What if He says, Stop isolating yourself from the Body of Christ or murdering your brothers, sisters, and fellow members with deceptive forms of secrecy? Worse yet, reconcile with those whom you have offended. Let’s face the facts. Most “Christians” today demand of God to speak from His throne words that match their morbid beliefs. If He speaks of things that cause them to refute their self-made Christianized ideologies; honestly, the gun barrel is turned on God.

Fake Christianity advances the stupidity of claiming a dynamic relationship with Jesus while betraying fellow citizens of God. It is how God tests authenticity. The two do NOT mix. One is an authentic principle of God, and the other is a demonic doctrine. Fake Christians are masters of living the illusion of unity while practicing disunity with fellow Body members. It proves members are NOT of the same spirit. Each is lying to fellow members through Christianized Christ-replicated behaviors.

WHY THE WAKE-UP CALL

The reason we need to be thankful for these spies is to be shown by the Lord the reality of the “why” Jesus ended Matt. 10:22 with “the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.” Spies are not the issue, some are evil, and others are Biblical (Joshua 2:1-3). Jesus wants us not only to see the faces of these betrayers but also to endure their practices of lies and secrecy until the end. Secondly, He wants us to be alert to their greatest lie – smile while they stab you. 

Cutting through the cord!

As we rest in Christ, the Lord speaks to our minds. Some dismiss these whispers as self-talk. Agreed. Satan is working to cut through the cords that unite the Body of Christ. We often see a betrayer and think, what’s the use? The authentic Church should be willing to fulfill the Biblical mandate of unity and become consumed with the leading doctrine that, A cord of three strands cannot be easily broken.  And the Lord says, “Come unto My Throne.” And as we enter the Throne of Grace, suddenly, we realize that God has a different kind of mission for us to fulfill, which might include enduring through the betrayer’s actions versus fronting them. We need to use our spiritual gifts to advance the indwelling Gospel, not remove one another from it.

“And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” (Eph 4:11-13)

“There is only one Body, and there is only one Spirit, there is only one Hope of our calling; there is only one Lord, there is only one Faith, there is only one Baptism, there is only one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Eph 4:4-6).

There should be authentic demonstrated unity in the Body of Christ. And the thing I like about being in the Body of Christ is that while we are uncomfortable with the methods God speaks through His children, we can maintain our unity in life’s most practical ways – love, acceptance, forgiveness & connection. When one of the Body members leaves out one or more of these doctrines, they immediately fade into the cultural misnomer of “deconstructing the Gospel.”

Jesus said You shall know them (authentic Christians) by their fruit. After years of studying the Word, I have not found betrayal in one of those fruits. The question becomes, Can you mix fruit unto death with the fruit of the Spirit? I won’t even bother answering that question.

What are spies of betrayal truly confessing?

The answer is obvious. Their illusive friendships with the world, as well as their self-opinions, ignite their hostility toward God. Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God (James 4:4)? Anyone, any one of us, who makes the shift to friendship with the world WILL find themselves in a world of betrayal. When “believers” choose loyalty to the world over that of fellow members in Christ, count on this – you’re an enemy of God (James 4:4b).

We do not initiate a friendship with God. He has to initiate it – through Christ within us. We need to respond to it by way of two forces. First, being a faithful & loyal friend to Jesus. Secondly, through proven faithfulness & loyalty to His Body – fellow Bridal members in Christ. You cannot live effectively by mixing the fruit unto death and the fruit of the Spirit. God will NEVER put His stamp of approval on such demonic trickery of betrayal.

Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in—who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery. (Galatians 2:4)

Yes. We need to be alert to these spies. Focus on the immovable Truth, Jesus, and you will discover the spy will either murder you or run like a dog. Their reaction is the Lord’s business; my business is to endure through it. That should leave us with a question. Am I willing to lay my life down for Jesus as He did for me? Great question. I have answered it. Have you?
