Parents must resist the social pressure from their peers and "authority" figures to let their children "do what they want, make their own mistakes" & etc. Resist the name-calling "...oh, you are over protective..." Note that these critics will be nowhere to be found when/if there are consequences suffered by your children.
If you don't take care for your children, someone else will. I wonder who that will be?
Most won't. Parents today need social networks to raise their children and keep them occupied. When Jesus said there will come a day when children will rise and kill their parents - well, that day is already upon us. God, please save those that still have ears to listen.

I did some of my master's degree research on sex trafficking and its connection to technology, so I am familiar with the depth of the problem. Your personal connection to this topic puts you in a unique position to emphasize the magnitude of the problem. I personally believe that something must be done about social media, as it has become a destructive tool in certain aspects. Governments often fail to address major issues until it is too late, which places the responsibility on parents to take vital steps in protecting their children, at the very least from the menace of social media and the destructive technologies of the 21st century.
