Ouch. That certainly rubs against the cultural thinking of today. Most venues of modern culture deceptively advance the ideology, or should I say idiot-ology, of love yourself.
Some may despair that it is too difficult to reject the world and the "pleasures" it offers. I have heard some say "...the standards are too high, too strict!". This is the reaction of those with a religious mindset., who rely on the flesh to reform the flesh. The solution is so simple; Paul imparts the God given solution in Galatians!
Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. (ESV)
