FINALLY!!! Someone in ministry that tells the TRUTH!!! Wow!!! Hallelujah and praise Jesus, the only worthy one!!
As we sit in the collective dung heap of several generations of false teaching (the prosperity “gospel”, the gracegracegrace “gospel”, etc.) and reap the whirlwind of relativism’s effluent, we are left as sheep without shepherds. We have ear ticklers, not shepherds in our pulpits. At best they are merely flattering liars, worried more about their numbers than the Gospel. They are not authentic, redeemed leaders; and at worst they are jubilant love-is-love heretics, openly defying Jesus’ gospel. Oh Lord, deliver us, we, the stupid sheep that we are! Help us to know you in truth!
I have long despaired. I will continue to pray. And part of that is not pointing fingers at others but accepting that I am a sinner in need of a shepherd’s correction.
Ah, so much I could say! My heart is full. I thank God for you, and for the work that you are doing. You are an answer to prayer. I have prayed for wisdom and for truth and I was led here. God is good!
Kimberly, you are packed with wisdom. I meet few like you. God's GRACE is real and practical for you. Like me, you shout out the profound elements of Jesus as Truth. I consider it an honor to have you as one of my readers. Together, we can impact the "ear ticklers." Amen?
I do not have a church home, but I have a ministry nonetheless.
I struggle with the church thing. I’m not great at going along to get along, and diplomacy is not my strong suit. I’m not particularly social, preferring books and children and dogs to most people, and small talk bores me into oblivion...So, you can imagine how that plays in church.
This is going to sound crazy, and I know you’re a minister, but I find that all that church stuff can actually impede my walk, my relationship with Jesus. Yet, I know we are told to not forsake the assembly of our selves.
I am praying for you. I pray for all Truth tellers, as that is a hard way.
No, sis, I get it. That is the "why" your reasons are the reasons I started a home fellowship. It is a little fellowship. However, our messages, like the Galatians Series, are viewed by 47,000+ viewers each month. My ongoing joke with our congregants is, "As long as there are 300 gigabytes of bandwidth between me and the audience, I'm in good standing." By the way, the real Church is nothing but the Bridal members of Jesus Christ. It has nothing to do with a building.
Interesting. I am hearing about more and more people having these home fellowships. My painter, a young man, is a Christian and a musician and he and his wife have invited us over to fellowship with them. They are part of a larger group that meets often. Then the electricians that did some work for us were saying that we should start a fellowship.
I have the most interesting conversations with people about Jesus. Always younger people. People my age (Boomers) seem pretty lukewarm. They don’t want the boat rocked.
Just my experience. But I’m so encouraged by the younger people, especially since I have been praying for them for decades now. Go Jesus, go Jesus...😁
You sure can. Right now, we have our Zoom Church services on pause. I will keep you in the loop regarding reactivating the link. It will be good meeting you face to face. Say, I have posted a bunch of FREE stuff on my new "Buy Me a Coffee" site. Check it out. https://www.buymeacoffee.com/drphinney
Thank you for this. I feel completely unqualified, of course. And I don’t want to be the leader, bc I feel it should be a man. I’m not at all sure my husband would want to take that on. I’m rambling. If this is the path, then God will supply.
I will begin at the beginning--with prayer. And I will read the book that you recommend.
PS: It doesn’t sound strange that God spoke to you. I’m glad you talk about it. It’s important for people to know that God still speaks. God’s not dead. He’s not deaf, blind, nor mute.
Agreed. The still, small voice of God is often loud and commanding. Lol. I am thankful that I indeed hear the Lord; many tell me they don't. I don't get that but nonetheless, it is an honor to hear the Lord personally as a believer.
Thank you Stephen. The clarity of this is straight from the heart of Jesus. You are a gem.
Geoff, you are so kind. Thank you for the encouraging words. You are a man that understands.

Amen! Let it be so.
Thank you for you kind words, Dr. Steve.
