The law is for those who have not as yet received God's spirit into their lives whom are not walking according to the spirit, but fulfilling the desires of their flesh, and we see this clearly explained in the book of Romans. That does not mean however we can live however we want and desire to just be living our own ways and doing things how we think is best, trusting in our own hearts. No way! Prov 3:1-35
Loving our father in heaven is a wonderful freeing entire way of life, Jesus' yoke is easy and burden light, it's not about rituals imposed by the Levitical laws, as Jesus was the perfect Lamb slain (Hebrews), nor the traditions of men whom wrongly teach such are commands of God, or going to five meetings a week etc, it's about allowing the indwelling life of Jesus to entirely take hold and overpower us so it is no longer I whom live but Jesus Christ whom now lives in us, as the hope of glory.
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Truly embracing God's truths, love & grace for us is serving and responding to Him in absolute loving gratitude and our entire way of life is completely transformed as we pick up our cross daily, dying daily and undergone death to self, having died and been crucified, buried with Christ to enter into His resurrection life, & we want to respond in obedience to our father in heaven because He is beyond phenomenal, not out of any sense of begrudging obligation, but the fact He is real in you & me, dwelling in you & the holy Spirit & then they are affecting every part of one's being, from the mind, how we think and interpret to come in to alignment with God's own thinking mind and heart, renewing our minds & to our circumcised hearts, that once past hard hearted rebellion callous heart that was drawn to want to sin & ignorance having been blinded did not understand these things before receiving the spirit, that once was so cold to our very Creator now is a heart of flesh that pants after Him, longing for Him, desperate for Him and needing Him as He is the lamp to our path and light to our roadway in each moment by moment, He makes our crooked paths straight, & in being completely regenerated, so it is a natural inflow to outflow. He completely overtakes us. Having the mind of Christ, and newness of spirit life, of Jesus' mind, heart & life affecting our entire mind heart and life moment by moment, so we too can walk as he walked, enjoying His and our father in Heaven's fellowship as well as His Spirit and companionship and how He deals & interacts is responsive with us, and Him allowing us to really get to know the depths of Him through interaction via His illumination revelation and His word by His spirit, & by listening then through practical application, as faith results always in an action! This then helps us in gaining experience relationally and allowing His spirit to lead us, & in our daily decisions etc, then we are going to be consistently growing and maturing being perfected in the knowledge & grace of Christ Jesus in God, hence the meaning of the greek word telios. Not remaining stagnant as mere babes on milk. But maturing to the meat of the profound depths of God and His word.
Jesus having manifested & revealed himself to us as the word, the Logos made flesh to each of us personally and led us as the way to the father, to allow us to get to really know Him, so we can then extend & exemplify that same faith, character nature image and likeness of Jesus out to others, we actually delight in loving serving Him & in loving and serving others and in doing our father's will, it is as us having to breath in oxygen, & eating, as food and water to us. As necessary as the light. And Jesus is all those things, the light that came into the world, the living bread from heaven, the living waters, the very breath of life and of the Holy Spirit. Without abiding in Him rooted in Him, we can do nothing.
Having a daily ongoing consistent relationship and holy intimate walk in the high calling of God in Christ Jesus is exciting, enjoyable and absolutely fulfilling as He empowers us & to be giving and sharing the hope of Him with others the wonderful good news about Jesus, so they too can be drawn by Him & introducing them to Him, to also hopefully want to experience Him and allowing them to meet Him & He being implanted into their own lives. So they too can experience salvation, repentance, reconciliation redemption, forgiveness, healing, transformation radical change, and be set free indeed from an entire sinful way of life, it's the natural outworking of Jesus' indwelling & being transformed and undergoing sanctification by the power of the living God wishing in us. Our entire person is changed. We no longer live for the enemy satan & his entire kingdom of darkness, self, selfishness or to this world. It is all as rubbish & excrement dung and incomparable to the illustrious riches found only in Jesus Christ.
When we receive Jesus' indwelling and the infilling of the power of the spirit we receive also being equipped for every good work to will & to work according to God's good pleasure, we have been given purpose, direction, instruction and are guided into all truth each day we are blessed to breathe upon this realm & dimension, and we are given the Godly desires within our hearts to want to carry out all our father in heaven puts in us, compelled and impelled because the more we get to know him, then that only further deepens our love for Him and the many facets of His attributes. He teaches us how to interpret the spirit of the law that He writes in our hearts His very laws, that we carry out in our daily lives. Jesus as the author completer and perfector of our faith. So our new nature, the new man/woman in Christ naturally wants to do the things pleasing to Him. It is a continuing progression as we are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory even as from the Lord the spirit.
