David, you're welcome. I grew up in a home where honor for our service members was expected and treasured. As I served two separate Presidents directly, I learned the power of serving leaders within our nation. When President George W. Bush appointed me an honorary lifetime UN ambassador, I quickly saw other nations' hatred toward our democracy. I became determined back then to use every resource I had to address these combative dissidents with my gifts and talents in Christ – to restore our nation and its citizens to the foundation our forefathers laid before us.
For now, America has lost its footing. As a representative democracy would have it, voting is our most powerful non-violent tool. While the masses follow the illusion of "opinionate" rhetoric without proactive change, I am determined to assist in the change needed via responsible acts as a believer in Christ. Jesus said, "Love your enemy, and pray for those that persecute you." Remaining active in a depraved culture has been my most difficult mission as a believer. There is plenty of hate that comes around when a believer refuses to disengage in fighting against the depraved ideations of God's enemy – Satan. The Lord told me to give my life for Him as He addresses these cultural misnomers that plague the authentic Bride of Christ. I have submitted to this commission.
In any case, I am honored to be a grape in the Lord's Divine vineyard. Thanks for taking the time to encourage me and IOM America.
Dear friends... for me the choice is not all that difficult.
If one of the candidates stands for up to full term, any time, anywhere abortions, then I will vote for the one that stands against it, even if he offers exceptions.
If one of the candidates stands for mutilating the children in the name of sex, even without parental consent, based on a pseudoscience, I will certainly vote for the other.
If one of them is gunning for our children to indoctrinate them with the LGBT agenda in the schools and destroying their future, I will vote for the one that is not doing that.
If one of the candidates stands for open borders and the other for legal immigration, I do not have to think twice to vote for the latter.
If one of them suppresses religious freedom of those following Christ while giving a free pass for all else, I have no confusion as to who to vote for.
If one of them stands with Israel and the other with terrorists it is an easy call.
If one of them stands for mob rule and oppression and the other for the rule of law, and support police, guess who I will be voting for.
If I keep on listing, it will be longer than an actual post so let me conclude by saying I will never waste my vote writing in an imaginary candidate.
This is not a test of my standards but an opportunity for me to do what is best for the nation, based on my values, from what is made available to me. I know that I am not choosing my pastor but one leader out of those who are running, who will do the best for my nation and my fellow citizens.
I will not be self righteous and waste this opportunity to prove to myself how great I am. I know who I am; that I am a child of God and my citizenship is not here but in heaven. But in the mean time I will help choose a leader who is not trying to destroy my nation.
The only perfect man I know is the Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore I have no problem choosing a leader who is imperfect like me from the imperfect candidates. But I will not choose one who is obviously aligned with the agenda of the devil and destroying my nation and my fellow citizens in every conceivable way.
At this time in our history, we should make our civic choices known to God. If I don't care enough to actually cast my vote, have I actually made a choice? Or have I succumbed to helplessness and hopelessness.? The corrupt world may negate your vote, but God knows your choice. That is why I continue to vote.
Integrity never "fudges." Integrity despises lesser evils. Integrity advances Truth and the Person of Truth in all decisions. When I vote, I vote for Christ within a candidate. When this is an unknown, I do a "write in" that honors the living God from within.
“When this happens, do a “write in” - put the name in the fill-in box that matches your values, fully knowing the candidate has little chance of winning. “
Thanks for this. I live in Canada but the option is still valid. All of our leaders appear to be “selected” vs “elected”.
Some say that we are given 2 choices, which are both bad, but to vote for one which is less evil is still evil.
Some say that they don’t vote at all, that then they will not be held accountable for a bad choice.
Our voices are being heard and we are proving to our ancestors that their struggles were not in vain. Now, as believers, we have one more thing we need to do to walk in our true power, release the decision that our Lord has predestined in advancing the land of the free.
I write in "none of the above." I did it in 2020 (after voting 3rd party in 2016) and intend to do the same this year. There ae good people down ballot.
The important thing is - you voted. When we vote, our Biblical values are put into action and the voices of Jesus Christ are heard. Your voice is a reminder that Jesus matters because He does, and He deserve to be heard.
2024 ELECTIONS: Sitting at my desk today, I weep—for the land of the free, the home of the brave. Awakened by the reality of the lack of the brave. America, authentic Christians, once ablaze with revolutionary fervor, now grapples with a different fire—one that smolders silently, consuming the spirit of action, and slips into passive complacency.
I weep for the complacency that settles like dust upon our ideals. The defense of our liberties in Christ fading. The inertia that numbs our senses, blinding us to injustice and spiritual indifference. I weep for the apathy that whispers, “It’s not my fight,” as if the battle lines were drawn on distant shores. When in truth, it is on our doorstep.
All of our tears should fall for the passivity that allows division to fester, like untreated wounds. We watch as bridges collapse, not from crumbling concrete but from fractured trust. The fabric of unity frays, and we wonder when the mending will begin. When in truth, it begins within us.
Yet, even in our weeping, within the fearless, there is a spark—a remnant of sacrificing our lives for Jesus Christ as He did for us. For Biblical history tells us that nations rise and fall, but those who have the Holy Spirit endures. We remember the prophets who dared to speak truth of God's power, their voices rising from the graves of their sacrifice.
So, I decided to let my tears be my baptism—a cleansing of indifference. I am resolute to let my tears water the seeds of courage, empathy, and righteous anger. The passivity I see in this nation, in the world, will NOT be my legacy; it is my very own wake-up call. I join Christ in refusing to remain silent.
In humility, I asked the Lord, "Why isn't this post going viral?" I begged Him to awaken America! Awaken the readers and viewers to rise from their slumber, for the soul of a nation lies in the hands of those who refuse to be passive. Yes, I wept, yes—I appealed to the Lord to fuel the fire of action in all those who read this post.

Mo, on several occasions, I have had to “write in” Jesus Christ. In checking with the US Achieves, thousands of people have done the same thing.

I don’t agree with that either.
Your option seems to be the most valid.
The most Christ like as you propose.
