My experience as a writer, this message will fall on mostly deaf ears. Why? Because the immovable Truth stands like a resolute sentinel, unwavering and unyielding - causing those who choose to live in lies to refute anything that gets in the way of their condition of being a person of lies.
These individuals are ensnared by the comfortable illusion of their deceptions, creating an echo chamber that drowns out the clarion call of reality. In their world, lies weave a protective cocoon, shielding them from the discomfort and disruption that the Truth would bring. Thus, even when faced with irrefutable evidence, their minds remain closed, and their hearts unmoved, preferring the fragile stability of falsehoods over the transformative power of truth.
Liars possess a deceptive mastery in reconditioning falsehoods to resemble the Truth. They skillfully weave intricate narratives, blend half-truths with outright fabrications, and employ persuasive rhetoric to manipulate perceptions. By cloaking their lies in the guise of authenticity and credibility, they create a convincing facade that obscures reality. This calculated manipulation exploits the human tendency to trust what appears consistent and plausible, making it difficult for the untrained eye to discern deception from genuine truth. In this elaborate dance of deceit, lies are repackaged to not only look and sound like Truth but to erode the very foundation of trust upon which Truth stands.
The United States Constitution can be seen as a secular "Bible" for the nation, establishing the foundational truths and principles upon which the country stands.
It delineates the core values of liberty, justice, and equality, serving as a guiding framework for governance and societal norms. Much like a sacred text, it provides a moral compass, setting forth the ideals and responsibilities of citizens and leaders alike. Through its amendments and interpretations, the Constitution evolves to address contemporary issues while remaining anchored in the enduring truths that define the nation's identity and purpose.
POLITICS IS KNOWN FOR HOSTING LIARS
The world of politics is often perceived as a stage where deception and manipulation thrive. Politicians, driven by ambition and the pursuit of power, sometimes resort to bending the truth or outright lying to achieve their goals. This environment fosters a culture of mistrust, where the line between fact and fiction becomes blurred. As a result, the public's faith in political leaders and institutions can erode, leading to cynicism and disillusionment. In this intricate dance of rhetoric and reality, the challenge lies in discerning genuine intentions from calculated falsehoods.
Our country has recently navigated one of the most deceptive periods in America's political history. This era has been marked by widespread misinformation, political scandals, and a pervasive erosion of trust in public institutions. The manipulation of facts and the deliberate spread of falsehoods have created a climate of confusion and division, challenging the very foundations of our democracy. As we move forward, it is crucial to reaffirm our commitment to truth, transparency, and accountability to restore faith in our political system.
"But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron…" (1 Timothy 4:1-2)
Our starting place: All humans are born into sin. Secondly, all humans have flesh, which leans toward lies. I believe a lie is telling a truth that hides the full impact of organic TRUTH. It is safe to say that all people hate lies because they hate being lied to. Even liars demand you tell them the truth, provided you leave Jesus out of the scenario. The general population, saved or not, despises absolute Truth, using people and making them victims of their manipulation and hypocrisy. Yes, the one telling a lie and the compulsive liar is guilty of manipulation and hypocrisy. But few are willing to admit to this.
ONE WHO LIES IS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO CHOOSES TO LIE. A LIAR IS SOMEONE WHO LIES AS A LIFESTYLE AND HAS NO CONTROL OVER THEIR LYING. ULTIMATELY, A LIAR BECOMES UNAWARE THAT THEY ARE LYING. THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF CHRISTIANS TOUT INTEGRITY. EACH ONE DECLARES THAT ‘THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.’ IT MAKES THEM FEEL LIKE PEOPLE OF TRUTH, EXEMPTED FROM LYING BECAUSE THEY FEEL CONTEMPT FOR IT. IF THE TRUTH ALWAYS SETS US FREE, WHY DO WE HABITUATE LIES OR ALINE OURSELVES WITH THOSE WHO LIE?
The flesh propagates that lying sets us free.
It enables many Christians to avoid brokenness - so they cut corners. It removes the pain that comes with living in Truth. Lying liberates one from the burden and embarrassment of reconciling with others they honestly offended through their Christianized platitudes (lies). Lies evolve from demanding “rights” over that of absolutes that include persecution for standing for and in TRUTH. The flesh finds freedom in avoiding the challenging mandates of the Holy Scriptures. So…we lie. Sin forms in the Christian’s life by holding onto hate and unforgiveness. Unforgiveness becomes a diverse tactic in avoiding the real issue; people of TRUTH suffer when being immovable.
Frequently, Christians lie to maintain an image of Truth, fully knowing that what they do is an abomination to the Lord. Why? Because there are tradeoffs.
What is the most common form of lying for Christians? Silence and Christianized platitudes. Christians who do not own the truth that they’re either lying or possibly liars are duped into thinking they are protecting an image of integrity that doesn't exist. Remember, integrity is “the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles and moral uprightness.”
Lying isn’t just the avoidance of Truth; it’s also a distortion of the person of Truth (Jesus), which becomes a confession of lying to the face of Jesus. Liars try to get away with this by trivializing the inconvenient Truths of Jesus while overemphasizing the Biblical Truths that serve them. It is the most common method for developing a hypocrite. The not-so-funny thing is that hypocrites are almost always referenced in the Word as liars.
AVOIDING LYING = LIVING OUT THE BIBLE
Living according to a Constitution, whether it be the Holy Bible or the US Constitution, anchors individuals and society to fundamental principles and values of TRUTH. The Holy Bible offers spiritual guidance, moral teachings, and a sense of purpose, shaping the character and conduct of those who embrace its teachings. Similarly, the US Constitution provides a legal and ethical framework for governance, ensuring the protection of individual rights, justice, and equality. Together, these guiding documents promote stability, unity, and a shared commitment to higher ideals, fostering a sense of responsibility, accountability, and integrity in both personal and civic life.
In an era where half-baked truths and misleading narratives proliferate, it's imperative to anchor ourselves to the foundational truths contained in the Holy Bible and the US Constitution. These timeless documents provide a solid moral and ethical compass, guiding individuals and society towards righteousness, justice, and integrity. By adhering to these established principles, we can navigate the complexities of modern life with clarity and conviction, avoiding the pitfalls of deception and moral ambiguity.
In a world awash with misinformation, the Holy Bible and the US Constitution stand as beacons of truth, lighting the way for a just and principled society.
