The exchange that allows for the release of the Spirit in Christ is an exchange from spiritual death (Adamic spirit) to eternal Spiritual Life (Holy Spirit). This "eternal life" that we receive in Jesus Christ is not some "thing" that we possess; rather, "eternal life" is a Person, Jesus Christ, with Whom we are given the Spirit of Power and residence of a new Dominion.
