THE HEALING
Over ten years ago, it was discovered a virus had entered my heart muscle and caused sudden heart failure. They gave me two years to live. With that, we moved from the heat of Phoenix Airizona and moved to a cooler state - Kansas. Within a short period, my heart went from 11% to 45, which is the norm for most.
Two years ago, I was diagnosed with CDIP, a nerve disease that eats away at my nerve sheaths, causing many complications - partial paralysis, nerve & body tremors, and other uncomfortable symptoms. Through monthly infusions, the degenerate disease has slowed. However, according to the specialist, I will ultimately end up in a wheelchair.
Around this time, an oncologist found my M-Protein bone marrow cancer cells elevated. I was diagnosed with MGUS, an early stage of multiple myeloma. Recently, the cancer doctor deemed it necessary to “dive deeper” into testing due to ever-growing symptoms. Today, I get the results of those tests.
In the meantime, I finished a pastel (above) for a doctor friend of mine. While crafting this “Master’s Piece,” I asked the Lord if he could do this kind of healing for me. On the day I was to deliver this pastel, a friend & ministry leader from North Carolina called to say the Lord asked him to pray over me.
He said on Sunday, while working in his garden, the Lord told him to get with me and pray for healing for my diagnosis of MGUS (bone marrow cancer). With that, he did. It is hard to describe what happened, but I am walking by faith in the prayer he prayed over me. The remainder of our time was filled with stories and lots of laughter. Today it is possible to discover the kind of healing God has in store.
Today, I am at peace. If the Lord provides physical healing, I am a blessed man. If the Lord chooses to heal me of attitude and mind while going through this difficulty, I am a blessed man.
I believe keeping my readers, viewers, and prayer partners current on such trials is important. Thank you for being there to pray. I will keep you posted on today’s appointment and our Lord's work in such potential discoveries of walking a less traveled road. Until next time.
Praising God for the work you continue to do for His Name's sake, despite any pain/discomfort you feel. You continue to put your hands to the keys and allow the Spirit to move through you for His glory and our good.
I am encouraged by your choice to be okay either way Dr. Phinney placing your confidence in our loving heavenly Father. I look forward to hearing what God wants to do in and through you.
