Civil War in America
UPDATED & REVISED: In the long run, it doesn’t matter if the Republicans or Democrats win the elections; civil war will likely happen. Politics is important, but human safety is greater.
Dr. Stephen Phinney
It doesn’t matter if the Republicans or Democrats win the elections; civil war will likely happen. While the circumstances and context are vastly different, many people draw parallels between the divisions of the Civil War era and the deep political and social divides we see in modern America. However, it’s important to note that while the images of history look drastically different, the issues of freedom do not! The challenges we face today require a careful review of history, which tends to repeat itself.
Religious freedom is a fundamental doctrine in which America was founded - that underpins a just and harmonious society called to worship the Creator of eternity. It allows individuals to deploy their conscience, express their deepest convictions, and live according to their beliefs without fear of coercion or reprisal. This freedom fosters faith in Christ, contributing to a vibrant America that was founded on the central beliefs of Christendom.
Moreover, such beliefs promote peace by respecting the dignity of all individuals, regardless of their level of faith or individualized interpretations of their belief system. It is a cornerstone of democracy, underscoring the principle that governments should not dictate matters of conscience nor favor one individual view over another. Thus, the importance of religious freedom cannot be overstated. It is essential for maintaining true freedom over that of being enslaved.
A fact that cannot be rebuffed is that the generalized masses hate being told what to believe. Thus, all independent religious believers will fight a war that cannot be won!
The logic behind this statement is simple. The first item we watch for in the warm-up phase to civil wars is the measurement of unrest.
Those who follow the civil unrest in our country know that America is more divided than at any other time in history - including that of the First Civil War. As the Word of God states, a people/nation divided against itself will not stand.
At 69 years of age, I have seen plenty of degenerate movements within our country. Our freedom of religion has morphed into freedom of hatred.
I have watched an entire nation delude into placing a President on trial for standing up for the freedoms that come with our Constitution, practicing defamation of character to the point of riots and media lies. This delusion has separated the freedom fighters from the haters of America’s founding doctrines. This division will, without question, set our country in motion for another Civil War.
LOVE IS POWERFUL | HATE IS A MOTIVATOR
Most politicians will do anything necessary to advance their political agendas – even murder. The culture of our country is upside wrong. We kill babies, euthanize our weak, starve our elderly, and cause death through false medical information – as in the case of vaccines. All techniques that the soon-approaching Antichrist will enact.
Certainly, most have heard of the phrase slow fade. While it is easy to understand this ideology, the masses don’t seem to understand its sociological ramifications. The illustration of boiling a frog slowly is elementary. You first put the frog in a pot of cool water, a temperature the frog “feels safe” within. Then you gradually turn up the heat without the frog decerning the temperature change. In due time, the frog is boiled alive.
In this, we find the answer to What happened to America? People tend to blame the most recent changes in a country on the most recent political climate. This is a naive approach to analyzing a cultural decline. Real-deal cultural historians understand that it requires a slow fade of multiple generations. The generation preceding a civil war classically gets blamed for the demise, which is a misnomer. Degenerate slow fades are a product of a recent generation adding to the decline of previous generations. After a given amount of time, the liberal contributions of all the generations explode on the battlefield of a civil war. Is America ripe for such a war? Sociological studies show that America and other countries suffer from such a reality.
You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. (James 5:5)
The citizens of our country are guilty of living luxuriously. We have been granted the “right” to be opinionated and soak in our wanton pleasures. We have become fat in our hearts by the illusive safety of our freedoms. Since the masses do not accept that freedom is not free, we have slowly faded into arrogance, pride, and hatred. Leaving us in a perfect storm of being slaughtered by the tyrannical politicians of our age.
Hatred is the fuel that ignites wars. Hatred is typically hidden in the framework of a culture that refuses to stop destructive patterns damaging its nation, people, and original beliefs. This is primarily because we the people being denied our rights to self-pleasures.
What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. (James 4:1-3)
SELF-PLEASURE PRODUCES HATRED
It is stated that America is the most self-pleasure-focused nation in the world. Many countries hate us for this selfish ideology. God is hostile to this demise if we believe in this passage.
You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:4)
When we explore the recent historical events of our country, it is easy to see that its citizens have become addicted to friendship with the world and its demonic rhetoric. Over many generations, we have been a boiling frog in the degrading ideologies of Western culture. So much so that many of its citizens treat God like He is a blockage to their pleasures, minimally to their self-birthed ideas of who He is, not to mention many have faded into the belief, He does not exist. What is God to do? Turn the masses over to their pleasures.
Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. (Romans 1:24)
Has this happened to America?
What does it look like when God turns a nation over to its lusts? That is a question worth addressing.
And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them. (Romans 1:28-32)
Our country suffers with all twenty-one of the ramifications, plus some. It is one thing to see these symptomatic ramifications in an individual, but war is likely to break out when a nation is sentenced to these horrid consequences.
When looking at our politically charged environment today, Bible believers find comfort in a party taking back the reigns of the insanity our country suffers. Even if this were to occur, the masses on the side of freedom of depravity would erupt into declaring war. If the conservative branch of voters loses control over political seats, the conservative branch will like-mindedly claim civil war. That leaves those who study culture and their movements with one conclusion – civil war is inevitable. That begs a final question. What will that war look like?
Honestly, that would take a couple more research papers to detail. However, I know it will make our present news feeds on riots and disasters look like a backyard bully fight. The consequences would be life-altering for every citizen in the country.
What if President Trump is reelected?
If President Trump were to be reelected, it would likely mean a continuation of the policies and approaches seen during his previous term, but this time on steroids. This could include his stance on issues such as immigration, trade, healthcare, and religious freedoms - all of which rub in the face of those of hatred. Beyond all these superficial elements, the haters of America’s fundamental foundations would rise to a Civil War. Honestly, it would make the January 6 riot look like a picnic.
A political friend of mine, in the “know,” said there are two “rights,” if taken away, that would instigate national riots, a Civil War of sorts, like no other - the right to bear arms, and the freedom of religion. While both groups presently are considered people who commit hate crimes, the resulting politicians who take away these “rights” will see a war that only a Christ-like global leader can resolve. That is my point of 2024 being the year of igniting Essential Prophecies.
What is a believer to do?
Pray. Pray for God’s authentic believers to stand strong and maintain their beliefs in Jesus Christ AND His Holy Word. The immovable position of authentic Christians will suffer persecution, distress, and many difficulties. All authentic believers are about to enter a “Civil War” without choice. This will be our test. Do we cower, or do we use the consequences of the sins of our nation to minister the Truth and prepare them for the glorious moment of Jesus coming to gather His Bride moments before the Tribulation reign of the Antichrist.
If God has turned a depraved world over to its lusts and desires, He is not about to reverse that action for fragile believers. For it would delude hundreds of passages of warnings and invites to escape such consequences.
Civil war is a battle between the beliefs of two parties. Our nation is, without question, in the middle of the greatest offense it has ever faced. Is there a peaceful resolution? Not unless the entire nation falls to its knees and repents. Will that happen? You tell me.
America in Biblical Prophecies | Ameriforce
What is a believer to do? Paul gives the simple answer in Galatians 5:16-18. This also answers the reproof in James. What is happening to us (believers) is similar to Ezekiel 34. Note how the flock is NOT accused of wrongdoing or required to do anything, as the sin is with LEADERSHIP. Ephesians 5 and 6 are what we are to start doing...It is a life-style, no matter what happens in the political battles.
Great article Stephen. What do you think of Dan 2:43? I always thought that it could refer to the USA but then I read others who think it's the Israelites (Jews). Sort of fits with the USA, that;s for sure.
