The Power of Death Transformed:
The resurrection of Jesus brought profound changes. It revolutionized the power of death itself. As the apostle Paul emphasized in 1 Corinthians 15, if Christ had not risen from the dead, our faith would be empty, and we would still be in our sins. But because He conquered death, our hope is secure, and our sins are forgiven.
Jesus declared, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” His victory over death offers eternal life to all who trust in Him.
Transformation of Disciples:
Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus exemplify this transformation. Previously secret disciples, they now publicly identified themselves with Jesus. Their courage emerged from the radical change brought about by Jesus’s death and resurrection.
Like the first flowers blooming in spring, Joseph and Nicodemus were the first fruits of the great harvest that would come from Jesus’s sacrifice. Their lives signaled that changes were imminent, and the most radical one was near.
Union with Christ:
The resurrection means that believers are united with Christ. When we believe in Him, we are united to Him in faith. God no longer sees our unrighteousness but the righteousness of Christ.
Our union with the risen Christ transforms our standing before God. We are no longer condemned but accepted, no longer separated but reconciled.

Those who receive Him through the Holy Spirit, inherit His indwelling Life - the Life of Jesus Christ comes to live within the believer.
