Prophecy: The Holy Spirit gave Paul a prophetic prediction – that in the end times, people will fade into 18 primary symptoms of denying the power of the indwelling Life of Jesus.
Are you concerned about those you love – friends, family, and strangers, who doubt the coming of the believer’s Rapture? Worse yet, those who disregard the prophetic messages of our Lord. If so, the “End Times Documentary” might be a venue to inform others in preparing for the challenges they’ll face leading up to the Rapture.
I am no different than most. In the early years of my studies, I avoided the topic of eschatology - the study of the End Times. Mostly because of fear. My mother-in-law gave me books by Dr. J. Vernon McGee, Dr. Charles Holf, Oliver Greene, and others. However, one book, The Two Babylons, by Alexander Hislop, launched my lifelong study of our Lord’s prophecies. Today I cherish this book, carefully preserved in my library, filled with the notes of this Dutch woman I called “mom.”
Oddly, I am known today for being a sound Biblical teacher of the End Times. After I chuckle, I am reminded that it all started with a little-known old Dutch lady. Before she died, she left me with these words:
We only fear what we don’t understand.
Jesus said,
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. "For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. "Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. "Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. "But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. "For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. (Matthew 24:36-44)
With trusted Biblical insight, this series will provide Grace filled hope and confidence that viewers need to set their affections on the warnings provided by God Himself.
It says in 2 Timoty 3:1-5, But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
The Holy Spirit gave Paul a prophetic prediction – that in the end times, people will fade into 18 primary symptoms of denying the power of the indwelling Life of Jesus. The closer we approach the Tribulation of Satan, the more intense the temptation to delude into lukewarmness.
LOVERS OF SELF: I believe all ungodliness falls under this prediction. In the end times, people will default to selfishness.
LOVERS OF MONEY: The insecurities surrounding money will drive self-proclaimed Christians to consider money first before sacrificial giving.
BOASTFUL: As believers are fronted with error, pride will override their willingness to be taught absolute Truth.
ARROGANT: Arrogant is a confession of the heart – revealing their soul is unreachable by leaders of the Word.
REVILERS: People who slander God through evil speaking.
DISOBEDIENT TO PARENTS: The traditional & Biblical mandate of honoring your parents will fade into the self-life being the parent.
UNGRATEFUL: When people stop being grateful for gifts, be on the alert that a slow fade is in process.
UNHOLY: Christians will excuse their sinful habits as an act of Holiness.
UNLOVING: While each will claim they love you, their definition of love includes betrayal and backstabbing.
IRRECONCILABLE: After an authentic Christian attempts to reconcile, the fake Christian will say one thing with their mouth and another with their betrayal.
MALICIOUS: Many end times, Christians will rise to accuse their “brothers & sisters” in Christ falsely.
GOSSIPS: Instead of loyalty, they will talk behind your back.
WITHOUT SELF-CONTROL: Each will be powerless to control their behavior.
BRUTAL: These fake Christians will use the Scriptures to hurt others with untamed tongues.
HATERS: Anytime they hear the importance of unconditional love, they will quickly return with a distasteful word.
TREACHEROUS: In Greek, it translates as traitor & betrayer.
RECKLESS: People who are clueless as to releasing the ways and mind of Jesus Christ from within. They are rash in their thinking.
CONCEITED: Each will be vain, self-bloated, and foolish.
LOVERS OF PLEASURE: The top priority is pleasure first, serving second. Decisions are based on taking care of themselves as a priority.
FORMS OF GODLINESS: While they claim Christ, their behavior will not match the authentic definition of pure Godliness.
DENYING THE POWER OF CHRIST: You will not see Christ's life power in their lives. They struggle with dreams, visions, miracles of God, and outward signs of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit. They live by the Words of Christ vs. His power.
These are the manifestations of the flesh that we are called to watch for in end-times believers who claim Jesus but deny His power of indwelling living.
As a result, our Lord frequently throws these types of believers into the lion’s den of sorts to experience the power of Christ from within. However, many thrown in become lunch for the lions. On the other hand, some resurrect from the den with a renewed trust in the power of God. We call it separating the goats from the sheep.
The next earthly movement is the Great Apostasy, which is active today. The Apostasy will lead up to the Rapture – when Christ will gather His Bride, indwelt Christians, and take them to Heaven.
After the Rapture, the Antichrist will lead a seven-year global reign. The last half of this Tribulation is called The Great Tribulation. The first half will be fake peace. The second half will be torturous. When the Tribulation concludes, Jesus will return with His Bride/Church and establish His earthly Kingdom, which will last one thousand years – The Great White Throne of Judgment. The return of Christ to earth between the Tribulation and the reign of Jesus is called the Second Coming.
During the Apostasy, multitudes will renounce their faith in Christ.
At the Rapture, Jesus will call forth His believers. At the Second Coming, He will return WITH His Bride/Saints.
At the Rapture, Jesus will NOT return to the earth. At the Second Coming, He will return to the Mount of Olives in Israel to begin His earthly one-thousand-year reign.
At the Rapture, Jesus embraces His Bride in the air. At the Second Coming, He will bring judgment for those who have rejected Him.
The Rapture will happen once God accomplishes His mission with the Apostasy. The Second Coming will occur seven years from that moment.
No human or angel knows the timestamp of the Rapture. However, in Matthew 24, Jesus gives us warning signs of the Second Coming. While the Father alone knows the time, we know His return is approaching as we see the six signs He mentions in Matthew 24. These signs will unfold shortly before and during the Tribulation. We see each of them manifesting in our culture & church today.
Hearing prophecies has a purpose and adds to the brokenness process God intends for those who hear these quote-unquote mysteries of the Scriptures. While authentic believers hear the prophecies and are encouraged, it produces brokenness in the souls of the unsaved.
As for those who preach the prophecies, may God warn them to escape the preaching attitude of empty sermons while droves of people pour into Hell - daily. While preaching prophecies are intended to break people, hoping to lead them to Jesus Christ, we must remember that it is not our job to decide “who” will respond eternally in Christ.
It is a Biblical fact that the Holy Spirit will NOT reveal the deep things of God’s prophecies, nor will He open the door to the truths and reveal God’s precious individual connections to such prophecies, to those defined by the sins of the Adamic nature – unsaved. With this in mind, we now understand that for them prophecies are used to form brokenness in their lost human souls.
We need a revival of sorts. After 40+ years of studying the Lord’s prophecies, I have come to realize the Lord has always used prophecies to awaken rebellious souls to provide an opportunity to step into a predestined Holy revival. This is our overall mission of the “End Times Documentary.”
We invite you to join us in our series. Reach out to family, friends, and strangers to join you. This might be one of the most important studies you have been a part of to date.
