#Prophecy & Men: Why is the Bible written to men by men? God is a God of Biblical order.
I am about to take on several of the most dangerous questions in modern Christianity. “Why is the Bible written to men by men?” Another controversy is, “Why didn’t God use women to write the Word of God?” Finally, “Is God a male chauvinist?”
Before we dive into answering those questions, we need to nail down the gender identification of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. While most conservative believers reference all three as being masculine in gender, that is not entirely true. Allow me to explain.
IN THE BEGINNING
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)
Why would God say He created him? Why didn’t He say He created them? Then the confusion arrives – male and female He created them. No confusion here, reader. God created Adam, the him. He fashioned (to build or make) Eve from what He created, Adam (Gen. 2:21-22). As you might recall, Eve was taken from Adam's flesh to remain at his side – not to rule over him (Gen. 3:16). These are two separate acts of God’s miraculous works. It also points to the birthing of the flow of God’s Authority. We need to explore why He might have done it this way.
The etymology for man & woman is basic. The Hebrew word for man is awdawn, which means taken from ruddy dirt. The Hebrew for a woman is ishshah, which means the weaker part of awdawn, man. In Latin, woe means weak. When placed with woe-man, it is the weaker part of man. Scripturally speaking. Eve was taken from the weakest part of Adams's body – his side, from a rib. As most Bible readers understand, Eve was fashioned by God, extracting one of Adam’s ribs to form Eve. This is why she is referred to as woe-man. It also explains the basics of authority. Adam was created first through what was before him, the earth, which equals ruddy clay. Eve was taken from that Creation, yet by Adams's flesh, from his side. Her orders were to remain at his side. Also, to invest in what she came from – her husband. Standard, we are to obey that in which we came from.
GENDER IDENTIFIED TRINITY
Ok, we know that God is a He because He is the Father, and all fathers are male-identified. Secondly, we know Jesus Christ is male because all sons are male-identified. But what about the Holy Spirit? There are zero references to gender identification regarding the Holy Spirit. However, you are about to learn that the Holy Spirit is the fe-male aspect of the Living God.
So, what is up with God stating He created Adam (male) and Eve (fe-male) in His own image? Great question. Better yet, it is not complicated to explain.
We must first embrace that each member of the Trinity is God. God’s image is the direct reflection of all three. Therefore, when He referenced creating man, it included the function and role of all three. Here is how it works. God, the Father, is the perfect role model for all fathers on earth. Jesus the Son is the ideal role model for all earthly children. The Holy Spirit is the image and function that provides women with the functional role of a woman. In fact, it is said that the same adjectives that describe the Holy Spirit define the woman – comforter, caretaker, nurturer, etc. It is here where the Christianized feminist finds the hill to fight their battles. However, if they truly understood the power and replicated service likened to the Holy Spirit, they might calm down.
Just as Jesus came from the seed, personhood, and Authority of the Father, a woman was fashioned from Adam's flesh to give birth to flesh by the seed of Adam, personhood, and Authority (man). Whenever a life is taken from a life form, it is the Godological design of being placed under the Authority of the life-giver – as in the case of children. As odd as it is to some, Jesus remained, and continues, under the Authority of God the Father. That is because The Father is Jesus’s Abba. He came from God’s seed. He is the first and only born Son of God the Father. Life comes from a seed, not the woman’s flesh. The proof is in when a woman is pregnant, none of her blood is mixed with her baby. The baby forms its own blood via the results of seed maturation.
But wait, I thought Jesus was born of Mary? He was. However, Jesus’s position of being God results from the seed of His enthroned Father. Authority comes from the seed. All sons of kings are kings in waiting. This is no different in the eternal Kingdom. Jesus is the King of kings because of this dynamic. Even in earthly kingdoms, the firstborn son (Prince) manages the kings of all the territories under the kingdom he represents. While the Prince manages all kings, he has no authority over the supreme king – his father. Jesus is not King over the originator of Authority. However, since He is the Prince of Peace, He rules as a King over all kings. No one, including Jesus, can take the role of the Father – nobody on earth or in Heaven. It explains why the “father of lies” works relentlessly to steal the Father’s role of the Supreme Authority – God. Jesus can only take over the author of Authority if His Father dies. As most know, in light of the eternal Kingdom, God can not die, nor will He abdicate His role as the Supreme Commander to any soul in wanting. Concluding, Jesus will never take the seat of His Father. As Scripture tells us, He sits in the throne chair on the right side of the Superior Authority – God.
Where does the woman, the Bride of Christ, seat herself? First of all, she doesn’t seat herself. The Husband, through His Authority, seats her at HIS right side – like a queen. In this manner, we see in God’s Creation of Adam and Eve; Eve was taken from Adam’s right side. The theology of the Bride of Christ is placed on the right side of the King of kings and is displayed in order of Creation. In this Biblical word picture, we discover the flow of Authority – God the Father (Supreme Authority), Jesus Christ (Imparted Authority), and the Bride of Christ (the Benefactor of Authority). This explains the flow of Authority in the Word of God. Let’s develop this.
THE PARALLEL OF AUTHORITY
Here is the parallel. God is the Creator, Jesus became the Last Adam (1 Cor. 15:45), and Eve demonstrated the first-word picture of the Bride of Christ. As the last Adam submitted and continues to submit to the Creator, the Bride of Christ is to replicate her submission to the Last Adam (Christ) in the same manner Eve was ordained to submit to the first Adam – her husband. In this, we cement Creation's ordained structure AND purpose as a prophetic event & construction of the flow of authority.
This a simple fact to remember. God the Father spoke the Word, Jesus became the Word, and the Holy Spirit spoke the Word into the minds of the Bride of Christ. The same model is acted out in traditional families. The father of the house is the final word, and the wife/mother speaks the father’s desires or mandates to the children while training them in the “how” to live out their father’s guidance. Since all born-again believers are referenced as a “she,” our job as Bridal members is to pronounce the Word to others while training them in the Word (discipleship) so that they too can join the organized flow of the Authoritative Word – who is The Father.
Folks, this is theology 101. However, the depravity of Satan has submersed his rebellion against this model and turned it upside wrong. Today, primarily, the world is ruled from the bottom up. Today, children tend to rule the household. Women tend to lead their men by a mythological ring in their noses. As for the men, they default to the same sin that Satan perpetrated on Adam.
Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat from it'; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life. (Genesis 3:17)
The myth of egalitarianism in gender roles.
I remember when the term egalitarian was foreign to me until I realized it was a modern-day movement. If you are new to the term, egalitarianism is a school of thought within organizational structures that builds from the concept of social & structural equality regardless of gender identification. It would be easier to address if it was between male and female leadership equality. However, it has evolved into the problem of not knowing who IS female or male. Sociologists predicted the battle between the sexes would delude into gender-related issues – and It did. Some of these sociologists believe the gender-identified issue was birth through egalitarianism. While I believe egalitarianism empowers our gender issue, I do not support this belief. I believe this fight started with the demonic doctrine Satan implanted in societies many moons ago. Let me explain.
In the Garden of Eden, Satan knew he could not directly deceive Adam. He held the Authority of God in his Creation. With one clever move, he placed his deceptive plan in front of a non-authoritative person – Eve. Satan knew Eve was the benefactor of the Authority God gave Adam. Eve bought into it - line, hook, and sinker in this clever slite of hand. I think he was certain she would appeal to her husband, Adam, to join her in this deception, fully knowing Adam trusted her. Did Satan know that every human born from her womb would be birthed into his dark depraved, fallen nature? I say yes. Did Eve know this? Probably not. Regardless, when God disciplined the three involved in this rebellion, he said this to Eve.
To the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth, In pain you will bring forth children; yet your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." (Genesis 3:16)
This single verse gives us an open window into four critical cultural issues of our day – avoid birthing children (abortion), let someone else raise your kids (the world), don’t yield all your desires to your husband (divorce), and fight against males ruling over you (egalitarianism).
Some women might think that women got the worse end of the discipline. However, Adam’s consequences destroyed the earth itself.
Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat from it'; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life. (Genesis 3:17)
There are three “biggies” Adam received. One, all men from Adam forward will easily be led by women, both in lust and leadership. Two, the earth got cursed for all future inhabitants until the earth's burning, as stated in the book of Revelation. And three, all men will toil, labor, to be providers – pushing men to be obsessed with being workaholics. Although women function as providers in our culture, children are left to themselves – resulting in a child-led society.
God’s plan for “order” has never changed – nor will it. He established His governing system long before humanity could conceive the thought of authority. The entire book of Revelation is a word picture of how Satan has turned the masses toward egalitarianism.
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality." (Revelation 17:1-2)
ANSWERING THE MYSTERIOUS QUESTIONS
When, not if, humanity reverses the flow of God’s authority, the above passage reveals what happens. So, why was the Bible written by men and directed to men? It is a short walk in the park to figure this one out. God is immovable in His method of delivering His Word to His people – that of speaking to & through the Adam representatives of God’s Creation. Even though most men are passive in training their families with the Word of God, God doesn’t change His method of delegating authority for culture, family, church leadership, politics, and corporate leadership.
Egalitarianism rules the world today – even in “Christian” homes and churches. When people try to tie their liberal leadership views in with the Gospel of Jesus, I step back. Then I reach for my scissors and ask them to cut out all references to God’s methods of communicating His Word to a lost world, first through Christ, then to the Holy Spirit, and finally through the Bride of Christ. On a human basis, first through Adam (male), then to Eve (female), and finally to their children. Without this method, we will have an egalitarian bi-sexual transgender world.
A FEW OF THE MOST “CUT-OUT” VERSES
For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; (1 Corinthians 11:8)
For indeed man was not created for the woman's sake, but woman for the man's sake. (1 Corinthians 11:9)
But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:3)
In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, (1 Peter 3:1) You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7)
And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. (1 Timothy 2:14)
A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. (1 Timothy 2:11)
If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church. (1 Corinthians 14:35)
The bottom line is this. God wrote the Bible through men because of the above “cut-out” verses and others. God speaks through the chain of authority that matches the Kingdom of God – the Father speaks to Jesus, and the Holy Spirit takes Jesus’s words and delivers them to the heads of households. The husband/father washes his wife with the Word of God, and the wife/mother trains the children in the Word. Society benefits from this immovable flow of the Word. Should women read the Word? Absolutely. Should a woman be the instructors of men? No, they should not. Men to men, women to women, and children. Should a woman encourage males with the Word? Absolutely. However, there is a thin line between encouraging and exercising authority over another. One is in building up. The other is using the Word to exercise authority.
In a culture with 70% of authoritative positions filled by women, this fine-tuned lesson is next to impossible to balance. With women as pastors, heads of homes, corporate leaders, political roles, and thousands of other positions, I can assure you – men will cower as Adam defaulted to Eve at the beginning of humanity.
