Medical Update. Phinney.

For those who have requested an update with my multiple myeloma.

If you read my prayer request posting, you know that I met with my oncologist yesterday for a review of my latest test results. You also might remember an author friend of mine who was led by the Lord to pray over me. He did and we both believed the Lord healed me, either physically or through a deeper trust in my walk through this journey.

While the diagnosis of MGUS is still in play, my oncologist said the numbers do not qualify me to receive advanced treatments, which we knew that God indeed answered the prayer of healing - at least for now. He wants to retest me in June.

Back in 2009, a precious close friend was given the following mandate to share with me. The Lord told her to speak these words over me. “My servant, Stephen, is preparing the altar for My consuming fire. Your part is to be diligent, alert, and pray for him and his family in the days to come.”

The day before my appointment, the Lord brought these words before me, not reading the words for many years. In my mind, I clearly heard these words spoken, “Stephen, trust in Me. For I am not finished with you yet.” Peace filled my soul and has remained to this hour.

An interesting note. It wasn’t until a few years ago that the Lord asked me to focus on the believer’s identity in the End Times. Since that time, a plethora of articles, media bites, and documentaries have been produced and released. We enjoy thousands of testimonies of changed lives. On Monday, after rereading this Word of Knowledge from 2009, it all came together.
