iDENTITY: Most of the Lord’s workers in our post-truth culture devote their lives to sharing the gospel to gain a paycheck.
"For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God will be fulfilled.” (Revelation 17:17)
Most of the Lord’s workers in our post-truth culture devote their lives to sharing the gospel to gain a paycheck. This erroneous belief of ministerial outreach is nothing short of lukewarm. If we ministers expect a return outside of God receiving the blessing, we suffer the modality of lukewarm faith. Worse, it becomes a covert confession of using the Gospel (Jesus) to prosper. Both socialists and capitalists are guilty of this. Socialists do to get, capitalists do to prosper, while monarchists advance a king. This single factor separates an external helper from that of an internal Helper. Obviously, a monarchy system is the most selfless. “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people” (Col. 3:23).
People who live and dwell in the zone of indecisive complacency as a church, culture, or nation are simply playing with evil (playing God). Most leaders know that " yes " people are easy to manage and " no " people are easy to discipline. They further understand that people who are not quick to give a “yes” or “no” are completely unmanageable and destructive to the overall goals of the leader. This might be the best way to describe our culture today.
Whichever the case, when we play God, we attempt to fix the fix that God has fixed on us to stop fixing ourselves and others. Fast fixes are NOT the solution; they only breed more problems and conflicts, resulting in a wider separation gap with the indwelling Life. Working to make our environment, church, or nation more comfortable to live in is a self-focused life, which is erroneous and borders on a system of socialism.
Fact. God reveals that He decides to put socialism in the hearts of those who refute Him. Not only that, He allows the masses to hand over their government systems to the Antichrist. That is until He decides the time of His fulfillment has come.
Rev. 17:17 - very interesting, will have to look into that some more! Thanks!
Being disciples of Christ is not a business (verse 6 has been very beneficial to me).
1 Timothy 6:5–6
[5] and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain. [6] But godliness with contentment is great gain, (ESV)
