#History. Nation Divided Against Itself.
President Lincoln's prophetic words have fallen upon America.
It’s no news to those that know me; Abraham Lincoln is one of my favorite leaders in world history. I have studied his life from his childhood to the lives of his grandchildren - through his own penned words, as well as from those who made notes of his life along the way. I conclude that this melancholy man turned hardship and “depression” into war weapons to make a divided nation into the “greatest nation in the world.” However, if he saw the nation today, he would know his prophetic words spoken in 1858 came back to haunt him.
A NATION DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF
Not many years ago, my wife and I were casually walking through a local antique store. As I was strolling through this shop, I noticed an old book, a very old book, sitting amongst the junk. I knew the estimated value. This 2,174 paged volume was packed with the recordings of Lincoln’s most important self-instruction, written from his journal entries. Early on, his memoirs were considered the first American history book.
I immediately took this treasure to the check-out counter. Told the clerk of its value. The store had a price tag of $12.00 for this historical book. She said, Oh dear, I guess you found a jewel in our junk. She sold me the book for $12.
My new prize led me into the mind of President Abraham Lincoln. The first value I extracted from this book was the power of self-education. The greatest value was how his beliefs in God's Word formed & confirmed his political passions and positions.
When Lincoln was nominated to be Illinois’ first Republican Party candidate for U.S. Senate, he delivered a speech on June 16, 1858. Supposedly, his loyalist party members supported his views, the opposition & the Biblical error to spread human enslavement. He was compelled to speak to a nation divided between pro-slavery states and free states. In self-recognition of his limited authority as a human, He wanted to use a phrase that his listeners would identify with the Supreme authority, so he utilized a quote from the Bible:
“A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
Historians noted his speech as an eloquent statement of his personal beliefs as a Christian, yet it was criticized at the time. Some party members of Lincoln thought the Biblical quote was inappropriate. His law partner had even advised him not to use it. But Lincoln trusted his instincts, believing he was inspired by God Himself. So…he kept it in play. He lost the election for Senate that year to the powerful incumbent, Stephen Douglas. While Mr. Douglas faded into American history, Lincoln’s speech that night in 1858 became one of the more memorable political speeches in history, which most believe is what sealed his run & win for the presidency two years later.
While his speech was controversial, historians believe this one speech ignited the success and confirmation of the Republican Party. From the day of Lincoln’s inauguration until America’s present Democrat President, the Republican Party became known for defending American citizens’ freedoms. That is until Lincoln’s worst fear enveloped its citizens - liberal wokeism.
President Lincoln was the first President to be assassinated for standing for freedom - he may not be the last.
Our former President said to me, "It is likely that I will be the last Republican President." I tend to agree with him. These two men have much in common. Lincoln was the first Republican President, and if things keep going the direction we see today, former President Trump could be our last. Time will tell. What we can’t refute, history is in the making.
Is another assassination in the works? There are plenty of rumors of such. Although, since we live in a murderous nation, with haters of democracy, freedom, and preserving the US Constitution running wild in our land, anything is possible.
PRESERVING LINCOLN’S MEMORY
It is appropriate that the largest memorial in our country’s capital is the Lincoln Memorial. The Lincoln structure represents the founding of the Republican Party and the solidification of America as a Republic. It is no wonder why the extreme liberals want it taken down. Worse yet, it’s a shame today most citizens cannot define the difference between a “Republic” and that of a “Democracy.”
Here are the facts.
The main difference between a republic and a democracy is NOT how power is enacted, but the limits to such powers. Republic comes from the ideology of placing power in the public's hands by placing representatives in government. Both use the electoral system, meaning that the public is represented in the government by elected leaders. In both cases, the majority rule, BUT the Constitution limits how the government can exercise power in a republic. These rights are absolute and cannot be changed or altered by an elected government. The important fact to remember is the United States is exactly that – a uniting of individually governed states. Fact number two: an individual republic state because the Constitution limits state and federal government’s power. For example, some rights, such as the Bill of Rights, the right to vote, and the powers to amend the Constitution, are limited and cannot be changed by the sitting government without directly consulting the public. This is the primary reason Democrats formed a government behind the official government. Some call it the “deep state.”
The United States is not a true Democracy.
While most call the United States a democracy, this is NOT entirely true. Instead, it is a representative democracy. Historical facts, the two common forms of democracy are direct democracy and representative democracy. Authentic direct democracy is a government system in which the majority have their say on every matter concerning governance. Direct democracies do not have elective representatives. Therefore, they rule on, not with, public opinion. The United States is a representative democracy, as the public elects’ individuals to represent them at the government level – both on a state and federal level. But wait, there’s more; the United States is also a constitutional democracy, which for some, complicates things. Meaning, the government's functions, and its roles are governed by the Constitution, which also protects the people's rights and privileges regardless of whether they are majority or minority. This is the exact reason the Supreme Court was established – to protect the Constitution.
Our founding fathers understood the basic principle of a moral compass. Most founders had experiential knowledge of the Holy Bible's benefits, being the primary declaration to sustain their morals. In this common-sense reality, Lincoln reinforced the brilliant idea of cementing a “Bible” of sorts for the American citizens – the United States Constitution. This single factor became Abraham Lincoln’s primary objective throughout his political stint.
Democratic Republics
Each of the states within the United States is independent, self-governed entities. Here is the snag. Since each state agreed to join the corporation called America, their democratic republics must sustain, support, and be ruled by the United States Constitution. Thus, the government can amend the Constitution through the acts of elected officials through votes. That is, as long as the Constitution continues to protect the people's rights, the citizenry continues to vote for representatives, and the Constitution limits the government's power, the United States remains both a republic and a democracy.
So…why do Democrats and Republicans fight so much?
It’s pretty simple. Democrats want to dissolve the original purpose and establishment of the Republic – leaving the door open for direct democracy. Educated Democrats know that the United States of the corporation America is governed as a federal republic, and therefore most political Democrats argue that the U.S. is being raped of democracy. However, stanch Democrats have to lie to the public regarding this fact; A republic is defined as a political system in which the supreme power is vested upon the people entitled to vote for its representatives and officers answer to we the people. Remember, direct democracy is not dependent on people's rights – they only consider the citizens' opinions.
Through the studies of other countries that use direct democracy, almost in every case, the governing system shifted into Socialism. If you take the time to review our present political environment, the fight is over Capitalism vs. Socialism.
Capitalism is all about a self-governed power in which the people and their elected representatives hold the position of maintaining ownership and control over their individualized investments and corporations. On the other hand, Socialism advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole. The more global, the better. Meaning all private investors, business owners, and generalized citizens must share a minimum of 50% of their profits with the government, which distributes it to the community at large. This is the leading cause of the stock market dropping when the Democrats dominate the House or Senate.
In fact, the U.S. Constitution doesn’t mention political parties. Parties soon developed among the new nation’s founding fathers – the Federalists versus Democratic-Republicans. The Federalists pushed for big government, and the Democratic-Republicans advocated limited government & decentralizing federal control. Over time, Federalists lost the people's interest in the early 18th century, dissolving after the War of 1812. That left the nation with a single group, the Democratic-Republicans. In less than 20 years, in 1828, a New York Senator, Martin Van Buren, later President (1837-1841), removed the descriptive “Republicans” from the Democratic-Republicans label. Thus, declaring the formation of the Democratic Party. The new party quickly put a new face on the old party of the Federalists – big government. Then came Lincoln.
Thirty years after the announcement of the Democratic party, conservative representatives realized this new party was a sleight of hand, re-establishing the Federalist. Thus, they pick Abraham Lincoln as the first elected official of their newly established Republican party - 1858.
As most don’t realize, Abraham Lincoln saved our country. He preserved our nation from eroding into a communist-style government. His decisions preserved our Republic for many years until, that is, the “we the people” adopted the Progressive Era. In 1896, the Democratic nominee for President, William Jennings Bryan, advocated expanding government to include social justice. Even though he lost the election, Bryan’s advocacy of a social justice government influenced the Democratic ideology, resulting in America’s first shift into Socialism.
There you have it—the basic history of the two parties – small government or big government. Since the present Democrats have a plan to dissolve the electoral system, rewrite the Constitution, and shift the United States into a Socialist system, our Republic is at risk – again. Prepare yourselves. Sooner or later, it is inevitable that our country will make this unprecedented shift. How do I know this? I track the hearts and beliefs of the “we the people.” As duly noted by cultural sociologists and researchers, most people today are acting like socialists on steroids.
What is to come?
The “we the people,” will get what they want. That is how our system works. The key factor comes into play – whoever controls the culture controls the people. The first thing you should notice is that Big Technology companies will work tirelessly to control people's opinions by advancing their opinions. Of course, this has to be done by eradicating the conservative opinions from their platforms – leaving the dominant worldviews advancing their agenda – global governance. You should notice that all culture wars and rumors of wars will center in and around technology. Any qualified researcher worth their salt knows this.
A healthy eschatological view reveals Big Tech’s mission to establish a global government and that it perfectly alines itself with a one-world leader. A leader the Bible has been warning us for thousands of years. I believe that the global governance system will be enacted and maintained by Big Tech.
THE SOLUTION
Be prepared. There is nothing you, nor anyone else, can do to stop this cultural shift, certainly the onset of one-world government. God, the Father, and Jesus Himself have responsibly & repetitively warned us of this inevitable shift. If you need more specific details on “what to do,” study, and I mean study, the books of Ezekiel, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, and Revelation.
