The Greek word for foolish is aphron, which means “mindless, stupid, rash, and unbelieving.”
Speaking of foolishness, in my youth, I couldn’t wait to get home from school, turn on the tube and watch my all-time favorite show – Superman.
Superheroes have their antecedents in the semi-divine heroes of myth and legend birthed out of the Greek mythological gods and goddesses. Each was a culturally appointed protagonist (hero) who exhibited feats of incredible strength, fighting prowess, and cunning acts of the gods. Believe it or not, Scripture speaks of these superheroes as those possessed by demons OR demonic beings who revealed themselves in human flesh.
I learned early on that people are drawn to supernatural powers, particularly Generation Z. Fact, people have an unusual draw toward dark demonic imagery. Worse yet, the Gen-Zers have formed a culture of fake Jesus figures replicating the real Jesus without redemption.
Why is this phenomenon true?
Superheroes have proved to be enduring additions to popular culture, as they maintain strong draws into the dark side of entertainment. Before I give you the Biblical reality of this incarnation, allow me to share the mystery of my childhood superhero, Superman.
SUPERMAN: You have a villain (dark force) and a hero (white force) with superhero storylines. This concept was birthed through early Greek mythology of white and black magic. The Greeks stole this concept from the Biblical ideology of the Tree of Knowledge being good AND evil, while both being evil.
It is important to note that Greek myths evolved from oral stories told in the Minoan civilization of Crete (2,500 BC), stories of the pre-flood civilization where demonic beings interacted with humans and animals. Today many historians claim this to be one of the theories behind super beasts – dinosaurs. Regardless, this era became the home base of the Cretan’s myths. However, generations evolving from all countries, eras, and phases of civilization have developed myths explaining supernatural phenomena' existence and workings, emphasizing the deeds of gods or superheroes and their impact on social or political institutions.
Early Greek mythology subsequently extensively influenced global arts, particularly within Western civilization. Artists who derive inspiration from ancient Greek mythology have discovered contemporary significance and relevance in these mythological themes, particularly monetary gain. This is accomplished by migrating human facts into the spirit world. Scriptures refer to this ideation as the act of a spiritist (Deut. 18:9-11).
The term hero derives from Herodotus, an early Greek mythologist born 484 BC. Herodotus is credited for putting the meat on the bones of the Greek gods, such as the conversion point of Zodiac (early Babylonian) to the god Zod, half-brother of Jor-El. Zod becomes the heroic villain in the movie Superman.
Jesus Versus Superman
As history notes, most, if not all, Greek goddesses give birth to a male super-child, fondly replicating the birth of the super child, Christ, divinely sent from the stars. This is the case with the arrival of Superman and other mystical characters of superhuman status.
Embedded within the Superman theme is a child arriving from the stars through a meteor capsule. His human parents raised him, who is Jonathan and Martha Kent. While he is given the earthly name of Kent, his natural father is Jor-El, the lead scientist on the planet Krypton, an interstellar government.
Kryptonite (to hesitate), which deprives Superman of his powers, is an alien mineral from his rebellious homeland. As the mystic story unfolds, we find Kent waring over his superpowers as a child. When he finally accepts his call to fight the evil arch figure, Zod, his powers bloom. And thus, form the endless sequels of Superman, which most writers admit are taken directly from the book of Revelation.
It doesn’t take being an interstellar scientist to figure out this is a demonic replay of the story of baby Jesus, who grows into a superhero, raised by human parents, and saves the world from Satan, Zod. If you carefully review this as I have, you will find that all modern superheroes are based on the Biblical theme of God the Father sending His Son into an evil world to fight battles waged against the “good” of the world. So…you ask, “What’s wrong with that?” Plenty. It perverts the Truth the Holy Scriptures present and shifts the authentic war between Jesus and Satan to evil-fighting evil – black and white magic. But in the end, it supports the Truth presented by God that the Tree of Knowledge is home to both sides of evil – “the tree of knowledge of good and evil” (Genesis 2:9).
The compulsory addition to superheroes did not start with GenZer’s parents or their grandparents - it is old as the gods and goddesses of Satan’s domain, who were birthed through Nimrod and the Tower of Babel. Replicating the real Jesus for each generation has cleverly kept the masses from worshiping the real-deal Jesus.
What does all this have to do with reaching Generation Z? A lot, actually. The spiritual parallel here is obvious; Satan goes after the minds of our children at a very young age. I learned from my studies that nothing more than superheroes could breed a deeper sense of success for him. In a child’s mind, superheroes create idolatry. Idolatry keeps the child away from the authentic Superhero, Jesus Christ. Sometimes, people defend their idols until death parts them, and Satan knows this. The enemy also has an acute understanding of childhood development. After all, he has been on the sidelines watching humanity since the days of the Garden of Eden. He is crafty but not stupid.
Prophecy: Soon, AI ChatBots will replace Superman and his friends in the storybooks of heroes. In this, it will give Generation Z, and their children, a more personal connection to the god of the Tree of Knowledge. In my opinion, the superhero movement was the “perfect” setup for Satan’s all-knowing AI supercomputer manlike heroes of our future.
ACTION
Make a decision NOT to support the fictional world of superheroes. Block the use of games, media, books, comics, and movies that advance demonic “saviors” Satan has to offer, including the grave Harry Potter series. This might require you, as a parent, to throw out movies and publications that support the demonic fake Jesus figures of our age.
It is normal for the youth to seek out answers through fantasy. It is a part of transitioning the child into the real world. On the other hand, wise parents use this child development phase to introduce the child to the real Savior, Jesus Christ. The Bible is packed with stories that will satisfy their curiosity about power and the spirit world. I use my popular series, “Jack the Journey,” with my children and grandchildren, a fabulous medium I developed, presently 129 episodes, of blending fantasy with Biblical Truth. Review It Here.
Yes, I had to say goodbye to my old friend Superman. I must say, I learned a lot from this idolatrous experience. Without God using my awakening to this demonic revisionism, I would not have written this entry today. I also produced a video that has gained some traction, titled Superheroes.
