#Abuse. The Neglectful Father.
During childhood, some people have distant relationships with their fathers or no relationship at all. Many suffer or suffered abuse.
NEGLECTFUL FATHERS
“Father’s Day” is approaching. While most families celebrate this event peacefully & joyously, as a counselor, I am aware that droves of families do not enjoy this special day.
During childhood, some people have distant relationships with their fathers or no relationship at all. Others might be so close that the relationship becomes unhealthy. Both situations can contribute to developing what people call 'daddy issues.'
Why Do Some People Have ‘Daddy Issues?’
Children who had a troubled relationship with their father while growing up may have difficulty attaching to others as adults. When fathers are neglectful or abusive, this can cause their children to develop fears, mental insecurities, and even hate. We want to help!
Instead of having an overly involved father, sometimes people with ‘daddy issues’ grow up with a father who was never around. The father might have worked a lot, left the family, or couldn’t be counted on due to a drug or alcohol problem, which often leads to other kinds of abuse - physical, sexual, mental, abandonment, and a host of other father issues.
Our production team is releasing two docudramas. One is a ‘short’ with the positive side of fatherhood. The second is a teaching video to assist viewers with the solution for struggling victims or perpetrators who need a fresh look at God the Father. Consider advancing & populating them in your network. We would deeply appreciate it.
For those in need, consider an online appointment with Dr. Phinney. Review the process HERE.
Please help us get this message out to a troubled world. Thank you!
