FAITHFUL TO ME!

Sad in my soul
With worries & fears
You are faithful to me
You welcome my tears
I wrestle & ponder
I cry in the night
You are faithful to me
Darkness flees in Your light
The pain I embrace
The heart of my calling
You are faithful to me
Truth protects me from falling
Silence is not golden
Me-me does not share
You are faithful to me
When hard hearts do not care
Earthly burdens feel heavy
They don’t fly away
You are faithful to me
Your strength is my stay
Who have I but You, Lord?
I need not pretend
You are faithful to me
From beginning to end.
God does not abandon us. We abandon Him. God does not stop answering prayer. We don’t pray. God does not stop seeking us. We don’t seek Him. God does not stop forgiving. We don’t repent. God does not stop comforting. We don’t run to our Refuge. God does not show partiality. We compare. God does not change His mind. We are double-minded. God does not change or tell lies. We do. God does not withhold love. We can be cruel.
God forgives us everything. We are bitter over another’s 1 offense. God is pure, holy, & righteous. We are lukewarm & excuse our sin. God is steady, reliable, & trustworthy. We are fickle. God leads moment by moment. We rush ahead. God gives indwelling peace. We create our own chaos. God is pure light. We hide in our darkness. God is transparent & honest. We fake it & pretend. God gives unreservedly. We set limits by self-protection.
“Thank You, Lord! You are the Rock & Your work is perfect. All Your ways are just. Thank You that You are a God of faithfulness & without injustice. Thank You for being righteous & upright. You are good, Lord. Your lovingkindness is everlasting & Your faithfulness to all generations. Thank You that Your compassions never fail & that they are new every morning. Because Your faithfulness is great, I have hope in You alone. And Your hope never disappoints. I am so grateful!! I honor You, Lord, & I love You. In Christ alone I pray ~ Amen.
