THE TENTH LEPER

Tucked away in the gospel of Luke, chapter 17, is a short account of Jesus healing 10 men with leprosy. Although there are other noted individuals in the Bible, afflicted with this disease, this is the only mention of this group of men interacting with Him. The book of Leviticus documents the detailed testing for leprosy (chapter 13), & also the traditional cleansing process by the priests (chapter 14). But what really captured my attention was the heart attitude of the 10^th leper. While unexpectedly interacting with Jesus, he was attentive & alert to what was happening around him, in him, & to him. He was soul-connected. And his immediate response was to stop & acknowledge the Source.

Jesus encountered this ostracized group while he was traveling between Galilee & Samaria. The record states that the thankful man was a Samaritan, a foreigner…a different race. Perhaps the implication is that part, or all, of the 9 remaining were Jesus’ own people, making the 10^th leper’s gratitude, as opposed to their lack, even more amazing. Jesus followed Hebrew tradition & told all 10 men to show themselves to the priests & they obeyed. In the process of going, they were cleansed. But apparently only the 10th leper sensed the miracle that had transpired & he turned back. He was unashamed. He was grateful. Verses 15 &16 say that he loudly glorified God, fell on his face at Jesus’ feet & gave Him thanks. I want to be like the 10^th leper.

To be completely honest, I will admit that thankfulness is not my initial response in most of the situations I encounter in life. When surprised speechless by something positive, my jaw drops & I say one of two things. “Are you for real?” Or “You’ve GOT to be kidding me!!” Occasionally, I cry. I end up thanking the Lord in the end…a bit later, when I’ve had time to process. In traumatic or unexpected changes & pain, I just feel numb. My stomach knots up & my heart pounds. I often cry out, “Oh God! No!” My mind swirls & I can have trouble breathing. I usually end up sitting with my head in my hands. But uttering thanks to God…for still being sovereign over my sudden pain or loss…is normally not my first thought.

Jesus poignantly responds to the glaring lack of gratitude. His words reveal His shock & dismay when He asks, “Where are they? Was no one found who turned back to give glory to God, except the foreigner?” Then He turns to the 10^th leper &, in essence, says, “Get up, get going. Your faith has made you well (saved you.)” Wouldn’t you love to hear Jesus say that to you??

Through the seasons of my life, I’m seeing clearly that being grateful isn’t a means to an end, to try to get something more from God. Neither is it an “order” to be carried out, that nets you a reward. God isn’t a slot machine. No, gratitude is way beyond superficial. Think about it. Thankfulness is borne from need, of some sort, be it external or internal — and then expressed in the physical, spiritual or financial areas of life. Is not all of life ultimately spiritually transforming? “Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (I Thessalonians 5:16-18) Everything means just that! I know that gratitude blooms when you’re alert to God working in all that concerns you. Both the sudden changes & the ordinary. Hardships & blessings. Suffering & contentment. I’m pretty sure I’ll be on this learning track until heaven!

For the past few years, I’ve kept gratitude journals. It only takes a few minutes every morning. My favorite method is writing the date & then using bullet points to record anything that struck me as something God used to remind me of Himself & His care over my life. Some days I have repeats. No matter. I record the blessing of encouraging words, a scripture lesson, a verse, an answered prayer, monetary gifts, a meal, an act of service, prayers prayed over me, something funny said by a child, things I noticed in nature, things I appreciate in daily living & then of course…people who’ve ministered to me in the incidentals. To get started, picture your life without what makes it flow…physically & spiritually. Then record those things. You’ll be amazed when you come back later & reread your entries! A written record of God’s activity can be a huge encouragement! Sometimes, recalling them has even made me laugh out loud. 😊

Don’t think me morbid, but occasionally I read obituaries from my hometown, in Iowa, to see if anyone I used to know has passed on. This reminds me to be grateful. Such was the case a few years back when I accidentally discovered a “testimony” of life, from the past, that deeply affected me in the present. My college roommate’s mom was 95 & lived independently, in Iowa, most of her life. And though I hadn’t seen her for a long time, some favorite memories popped into my head. She lived to serve others while embracing pain, & loss, along the way…having lost a grandchild, her husband, a son, & a son-in-law. She lived grateful & she lived giving. I fondly recalled that, years ago, she made the dresses for our wedding. She loved cooking for people & had a special knack for making food taste extra good! Her kitchen table was a place of fellowship. One Sunday afternoon, shortly after we were married, Steve & I spontaneously rode bike, 20 miles round trip, to visit this couple on their farm. Reading about her life inspired me anew. It affirmed what I know to be true…that little things speak volumes & add up to change lives. So, I thanked God for the blessing of having known her. Eleanor’s life reminded me, again, that gratitude isn’t just a feeling. Most often, it’s a choice.

The first great revival recorded in the Old Testament unfolds in the days of Nehemiah—a moment when the people of God were awakened not by emotion, but by the piercing revelation of truth and the weight of His holiness.

After the walls of Jerusalem were rebuilt, Nehemiah understood that physical restoration meant nothing without spiritual renewal.

So he gathered the people, and on the twenty‑fourth day of the month, “the sons of Israel assembled with fasting, in sackcloth, and with dirt upon them.” This was no casual gathering; it was a nation bowing low under the conviction of the Spirit. Their outward posture reflected an inward breaking. They recognized that the real ruins were not the stones of Jerusalem but the condition of their hearts.

In this sacred assembly, “the descendants of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.”

Revival always begins with separation—turning away from the influences that dilute devotion and distort identity.

The people were not merely confessing personal failures; they were acknowledging generational patterns that had shaped their thinking and behavior. This was a cleansing of the mind, a purging of the old nature’s residue. It mirrors the reality of the believer today: though Christ indwells us with His Life, the remnants of old memory traces still attempt to pull us backward. True revival exposes these patterns and calls us to align with the Life of the Vine rather than the lies of the flesh.

Then came the moment that defined the revival: “While they stood in their place, they read from the book of the law of the LORD their God for a fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the LORD their God.”

For six hours they stood—three hours under the Word, three hours in confession and worship.

This was not ritual; it was transformation. The Word confronted them, the Spirit convicted them, and worship reoriented them. This is the essence of Messiah‑as‑Life revival: the people of God returning to the centrality of His voice, His truth, and His indwelling presence. Nehemiah’s revival was not about emotional hype or external reform; it was about restoring the inner sanctuary where God dwells with His people.

In the same way, the Body of Christ today needs a Nehemiah‑style awakening.

The organic church, the Body of Christ—the living temple of believers—must be restored to its true foundation: the indwelling Life of Yeshua. Revival is not found in programs, personalities, or performances. It is found when God’s people humble themselves, separate from the world’s systems, submit to the authority of His Word, and allow the Spirit to expose and cleanse the remnants of memories the old nature left behind. When believers stand under the Word and bow under the Spirit, the Life of Christ rises within them.

The Antichrist’s primary weapon will be deception: not merely lies, but a global, spiritually rooted campaign that persuades nations and hearts to trade truth for a counterfeit peace.

The Bible frames the Antichrist’s deception as both spiritual and practical.

Scripture warns of a “spirit of antichrist” already at work and of a final, singular figure who will embody that spirit—opposing Christ, denying the truth, and leading many astray. This theme appears in the epistles of John and Paul, with warnings about the “man of lawlessness,” establishing that deception is central to his identity and mission.

He will deploy persuasive rhetoric and false teaching that sounds plausible and attractive to exhausted, fearful populations.

The Antichrist will not speak only in crude lies; he will offer a coherent narrative—solutions to chaos, promises of stability, and reinterpretations of truth that appeal to human longing. This rhetorical skill will be accompanied by a religious counterfeit: a system that mimics worship and spiritual language while denying the person and work of Yeshua, drawing people into allegiance to a false savior. The New Testament cautions believers to test spirits and teachings because deception will be clothed in spiritual-sounding words.

Supernatural signs and wonders will amplify his message. Revelation and Paul describe the coming of the lawless one as accompanied by “power, signs, and false wonders” that deceive those who have refused the love of the truth.

These displays will function as validation—people will interpret spectacular phenomena as divine endorsement, and many will submit in awe rather than discernment. The biblical portrait therefore links rhetorical persuasion with miraculous spectacle as a two‑pronged strategy.

The Antichrist’s deception will be systemic and institutional, not merely individual. He will enlist political structures, economic levers, and religious institutions to normalize his claims. Scripture’s imagery of the Beast and its horns suggests a coalition of powers that lend legitimacy to a single will; what looks like international cooperation will be the mechanism by which falsehood becomes law and worship becomes coerced. This institutionalization makes deception durable: it becomes embedded in markets, media, and legal norms so that dissent is marginalized.

Finally, the Bible links deception to human responsibility: many are deceived because they “refused the love of the truth.” The prophetic warnings are therefore pastoral as well as prophetic—calling the people of God to vigilance, to cling to the gospel, and to test every teaching against Scripture. Discernment, faithful witness, and the proclamation of the true Gospel are presented as the antidotes to the Antichrist’s global campaign of deception.

DUMB AS ROCKS

Since the Holy Spirit will depart with the indwelt believers, all those left behind after the Rapture will be vulnerable to a sweeping delusion; Scripture warns that God will allow a powerful deception to confirm those who have rejected the TRUTH - Yeshua.

After the Rapture, the world will be emotionally and institutionally unmoored—shocked by sudden absence, bereft of the faithful witness of the born-again Church, and desperate for answers. This exhaustion and confusion will make large numbers of people unusually susceptible to persuasive lies and spectacular counterfeits, not because they are intellectually inferior but because their hearts have already turned from the truth, and their need for immediate solutions overrides sober discernment. Scripture explains that those left behind who refused the Messiah, Yeshua, are the very ones who will be given over to a “strong delusion,” so that they will believe what is false.

Therefore, God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2 Thessalonians 2:11-12)

The biblical picture links this delusion to the Antichrist’s program of signs, wonders, and persuasive rhetoric.

Spectacular displays and authoritative claims will look convincing to exhausted populations, and now, with the absence of a robust, visible Church, deception will go unchecked. Revelation’s imagery of false signs and the New Testament’s warnings about the “man of lawlessness” show that deception will be both supernatural and systemic—miracles, media, and institutions working together to normalize allegiance to a counterfeit savior.

Pastoral implications: this is not an occasion for laziness; avoid this prophetic warning. Today’s salvations will save droves of people from this strong delusion! The “strong delusion” passage is a call to evangelism and to warn others now, because Scripture links the delusion to a prior refusal of the truth, Yeshua. Believers are therefore urged to pray, witness, and live transparently so that fewer will be left to the hardening that Scripture describes.

Yes, the 2 Thessalonians 2:11 passage speaks of God sending a strong delusion! Why would He do this? Because every person remaining refused to love the truth (Yeshua) and so be saved, ending with all people will believe a lie. This is the time to heed this warning and the Biblical teaching that post‑Rapture deception is both real and divinely permitted as judgment.

This is not merely political deception; it is a spiritual proving ground where true allegiance is exposed and where the cost of choosing the counterfeit over the King of kings becomes tragically clear.

The great challenge of our age is that modern culture has worked tirelessly to strip the Father of His honor and authority, leaving a generation unanchored from the very Source that defines identity, truth, and moral gravity.

When a society dethrones the Father, it inevitably enthrones the self, and with that shift comes confusion, fragmentation, and a loss of the reverence that once shaped families, communities, and nations. What we are witnessing is not merely cultural drift but a deliberate re‑engineering of the human heart—an attempt to live without the One whose presence once ordered our steps and restrained our chaos.

The great irony of our cultural feminist moment is that many who fought hardest to seize the front seat of leadership are now discovering it isn’t the throne they imagined but a furnace.

After decades of being told that stepping over men was the only path to empowerment, an entire movement is waking up to the weight, loneliness, and spiritual fallout of carrying a mantle they were never designed to bear alone.

This movement manifested multiple modalities:

• Women are exhausted and tired of the responsibility.

• Men are fading into having sex with themselves through pornography.

• Women are now transitioning to men, blending feminism with maleness.

• Men have become effeminate to join the feminist modalities.

The pressure to be everything—leader, provider, protector, and nurturer all at once—is crushing, and beneath the feminist slogans, many are quietly admitting that the “freedom” they were promised feels more like exhaustion wrapped in glitter. In trying to rewrite the created order, while droves of women demanding a shift, men defaulted to passivity and handed women a burden that was never meant to replace the strength, covering, and sacrificial authority of the father—and the cracks are beginning to show.

The best way to erase the honor of our forefathers is to delete masculinity from modern culture.

It is a fact! In 70-years, a Hebrew generation, when people look back on the fathers of today, who will be considered forefathers, here is what that generation will see:

• Chronic Isolation — Men are more disconnected than ever, hiding their wounds instead of seeking brotherhood, mentorship, and accountability.

• Identity Confusion — Without a clear sense of God‑given purpose, many drift between roles, expectations, and cultural pressures with no anchor.

• Emotional Numbness — Not because they lack emotion, but because they were never taught how to process it without shame.

• Passive Leadership — A generation trained to avoid responsibility, avoid conflict, and avoid spiritual authority now struggles to lead with courage.

• Addiction to Distraction — Entertainment, screens, and noise have replaced reflection, prayer, and disciplined focus.

• Fear of Failure — Perfectionism and comparison have paralyzed many men from stepping into the very calling they were designed for.

• Loss of Moral Conviction — In a culture that mocks righteousness, many men have traded biblical backbone for social approval.

The most effective way to dismantle the legacy of our forefathers who established this nation is to erode the God‑designed image of masculinity—something that was sociologically accomplished through the weakening of fatherhood over the past seventy years.

THE FOREFATHERS OF OUR CONSTITUTION

Modern men stand in stark contrast to the men who forged this nation.

The founders carried a sober sense of duty—men who willingly shouldered the burden of protecting women, children, and the fragile hope of liberty, even at the cost of their own blood.

Today, however, many men have been culturally conditioned into a kind of perpetual boyhood, or should I say girlhood, stripped of resolve, purpose, and the moral backbone that once defined masculine responsibility. Where our forefathers stood firm, modern culture has softened, distracted, and confused men into roles that blur strength with passivity. The result is a generation far removed from the sacrificial courage that birthed this nation, and desperately in need of rediscovering the honor, gravity, and God‑given authority of true manhood.

Modern America is witnessing a dramatic reversal in its leadership landscape, with women now occupying nearly 70% of leadership roles in sectors once shaped and stewarded by godly men.

This isn’t a criticism of women’s capability—many are stepping up because the men who were called to lead have stepped back. Instead, it exposes a deeper crisis: a generation of men who have abandoned the mantle of spiritual, moral, and sacrificial leadership that once defined the backbone of this nation. Where fathers and forefathers once stood as protectors, providers, and guardians of righteousness, many modern men have surrendered their posts, leaving women to carry burdens they were never meant to bear alone. The imbalance is not a triumph of progress but a warning sign of a culture drifting from God’s design for the family, the church, and the nation.

So, where is all this going?

Revelation 17:1–2 (ESV): “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality…”

What you are seeing today is evidence of Satan’s plan. In the end, Scripture reveals that the final and ultimate Antichrist will not merely rule through political power—he will unleash a global religious system designed to seduce the nations into spiritual adultery.

What you are seeing in women consuming the roles of men in pastoralship, politics, corporate roles, family, military defense, and other roles is evidence that she, the Great Whore, is about to reveal herself.

Revelation portrays this system as the “great prostitute,” a counterfeit faith that blends immorality, idolatry, and supernatural deception into a single, intoxicating worldview.

The Antichrist will empower this female-dominant false religion, likely led by a woman (the great prostitute), to unify the world under a spiritual banner that appears enlightened, compassionate, and inclusive, yet is violently opposed to the masculinity of Yeshua Himself.

Since the world will be accustomed to female dominance, this will be the enemy’s masterstroke: a faith that feels holy, looks miraculous, matches present spiritual cultural female dominance, and sounds moral, but leads humanity into the darkest rebellion ever witnessed—all because Satan was successful in removing the honor of fathers!

Pornograph is directly connected to prostitution. Today, it is the “norm” for males and females, sadly, even 36% of children. If the masses of today do not understand how Satan introduces his doctrines of demons, which they don’t, Satan will usher in the GREAT WHORE without a hitch.

MEN, IT’S TIME TO BE MEN!

In the end, the call could not be clearer: men must wake up, stand up, and take back the God‑given role they have surrendered. The Kingdom does not need more distracted, effeminate, passive, or spiritually absent males—it needs real, discipled men who walk in honor, courage, and conviction. This is the hour for men to reject the cultural fog, return to the Scriptures, submit to godly mentorship, and rise into the mantle Yeshua designed them to carry. When men reclaim their place as protectors, shepherds, and servant‑leaders, families are strengthened, communities are steadied, and the Kingdom of God advances with clarity and power.

WOMEN, IT’S TIME TO STOP BEING MEN!

It’s time for women to stop drifting through life acting like men and reclaim the sacred responsibility of raising children who honor their fathers—not because every father is perfect, but because honoring the role itself is commanded by God and essential for generational stability. And it’s time for women to rediscover the beauty and strength of their biblical calling, not as a cultural downgrade but as a divine design that brings life, order, and blessing into the home.

Honestly, as a cultural historian, it’s nearly impossible to reverse the momentum of this destructive shift. For two generations, culture has been systematically dismantling the framework of godly male leadership, leaving women carrying loads they were never meant to shoulder alone. SIX REASONS WHY

Some mornings are just like that. I woke up a little out of sorts because of an unresolved relationship issue. In those moments I’m wanting my own way, & for one fleeting moment I try, unsuccessfully, to get the Creator of the Universe to side with me…to let me speak my piece & air my grievances.

Even though I know that God doesn’t change Biblical Truth to appease my flesh, I flounder before the Lord, wanting His approval for “my way” so that I feel better. But as usual, He reminds me of specific verses about the tongue & about speech, & exactly why I should abandon this bad idea to defend myself to someone else. In short, the characteristics of an overactive tongue add up to describe a fool…with the outcome being a ruined life. Wow! And “Ouch, Lord!” God knows how to get to the heart of a matter. (Proverbs 10-18 overflows with contrasts between the Righteous/Upright and the Wicked.)

A phrase, in the Bible, popped into my head so I sat down to read through the source, the short book of Habakkuk. Only three chapters in length, it’s considered to be one of the “gems” in the Old Testament, according to the opening commentary. Apparently, Habakkuk & I have something in common. He didn’t understand God’s sense of relational justice either. He opens with, “How long, O Lord, will I call for help, and Thou wilt not hear?” Have you ever felt that way? He proceeds to air his grievances. “Yes, destruction & violence are before me; strife exists & contention rises…the law is ignored & just is never upheld…the wicked surround the righteous…justice comes out perverted.” God answered Habakkuk but he didn’t like what he heard. In a nutshell, a holy God was using an unholy nation to discipline His own people.

Habakkuk tries again, a second time, to state his case by listing out the perverse character traits of the nation God was using as the tool to teach His children. I must say, God is so gracious! He patiently explained that if Habakkuk would just wait, it would all become clear. “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; & it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay. Behold, as for the proud one, his soul is not right within him; but the righteous will live by faith.” (chapter 2, verses 3&4) My simplistic translation of what God said would read something like this: I have a plan. I know the perfect timing to execute My plan. It will happen. But do you trust me, to watch out for you? Do you believe in Who I am? Just walk by faith & stop focusing on the perceived injustice you think you’re experiencing. Focus on Me.

God’s words brought peace to Habakkuk’s soul. God’s Truth brought peace to my soul. In consideration of God’s holiness, Habakkuk concluded that it wasn’t his place to question God’s intentions or character. It’s not my place either. His reservations about God’s plan were not warranted. Neither are mine. I love his stated summation of their conversation. “But the Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him.” (chapter 2, verse 20) In my words…HUSH!

Habakkuk’s influence doesn’t end there. Chapter 3 is his prayer to God, chronicling what he pictures as the future deliverance of His people. But in his humanity, Habakkuk feels some apprehension in the wait, so much so that his inward parts (belly) trembled. (I know that feeling! Are you with me?) Despite his emotions, he boldly asserts six reasons why… six negative outcomes that he could see happening…that would test his faith & belief in God’s timing. “(1)Though the fig tree should not blossom, (2)& there be no fruit on the vines, (3) though the yield of the olive should fail,(4)& the fields produce no food, (5) though the flock should be cut off from the fold, (6)& there be no cattle in the stalls.” God bless Habakkuk…only 6?! I can list many more apprehensive “what if” scenarios that the enemy uses to try trip me up… in my faith walk…in my conviction that my heavenly Father knows what’s best for me, that He is aware of me, that He is in control of my life, & that He has provided everything I need through the indwelling life of Christ. What reasons does the enemy use in your life?

In a discussion with Steve, I referenced the common cliché, “There are 2 sides to every story.” He quickly responded with, “There’s only ONE story. And that’s God’s sovereignty, & how He works in our lives for our good, & for His purposes.” Simply profound! And I think Habakkuk would agree. He closes his narrative, of the six reasons why, by boldly asserting how the righteous live by faith. “Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, & He has made my feet like hind’s feet, & makes me walk in my high places.” (see chapter 3 verses 17-19) “Blessed are you, O (put your name here); Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, who is the shield of your help & the sword of your majesty! So, your enemies shall cringe before you, & you shall tread upon their high places.” (Deuteronomy, chapter 33, verse 29)

Overprotective mothers, though often motivated by “love,” can unintentionally or intentionally weaken their sons’ masculine creational design.

When a mother shields her male child from every challenge, pain, and responsibility, she teaches him that safety is found not in courage but in dependency. The boy learns to retreat behind her protection rather than rise in strength, and his identity becomes trapped behind the very skirts meant to nurture him. This misplaced guardianship breeds timidity instead of resilience, emotional fragility instead of conviction. True masculinity is forged in the fires of risk, accountability, and spiritual maturity—but when those fires are smothered by excessive maternal control, the result is a generation of men who fear standing alone, unable to bear the weight of leadership or the call of God upon their lives.

MY BACK STORY:

I know this story personally because I lived it. As a frail, sick boy, my mother’s love turned into overdrive—her protection became my prison. Every cough, every fear, every weakness drew her closer, until her care wrapped around me like armor I could never remove. She meant well, but in shielding me from the world, she also shielded me from manhood. I became the boy who hid behind her skirt instead of finding my masculinity in God’s design, the one who learned safety instead of courage.

Growing up under that kind of overprotection didn’t just shape my cowardly masculinity—it carved deep flesh‑patterns into my soul. Two in particular took root.

First, it awakened a distorted lust for women, not rooted in desire but in the craving for comfort, affirmation, and emotional rescue—the very things my mother had over-supplied. This was imagined and found in sexual contact with women. And in many men, obsessive masturbation. The gig? Sex equals comfort.

Second, it created a lifelong dependence on women, elevating them far above their God‑given role and expecting them to provide identity, strength, and stability that only the Father Himself can give. Basically, it locks in the sin of Adam, harkening to his wife, as an obsessive repetitive pattern, resulting in a female-led home.

This kind of sin doesn’t just distort behavior—it forms a cowardly, fearful boy from the inside out. When a male child learns to rely on women for strength, comfort, and identity, he never develops the inner fortitude that comes from facing difficulty, taking responsibility, and standing alone before God. In fact, God becomes a male to be negatively feared instead of respected. Thus, a pattern of running from the Lord becomes compulsive.

Instead of courage, he learns avoidance; instead of conviction, he learns compliance; instead of spiritual authority, he learns emotional dependence.

The flesh becomes trained to retreat, to seek rescue, to hide behind the nearest “skirt” of comfort. Over time, this produces a man who looks strong on the outside but collapses on the inside—because the muscles of courage, resilience, and spiritual leadership were never allowed to grow. It is a counterfeit security that leaves the male soul trembling when real life demands real strength—crying out for a ‘mama’ figure to save them.

When a boy is shaped in the shadow of excessive maternal control, he learns to look to women for what only the Spirit can supply. It took years—and the breaking of those fleshly habits—for me to see that this elevation was not honor but bondage, and that true freedom comes only when Yeshua becomes the source of Life, identity, and strength.

This pattern forms one of the most destructive traps for men because it wires the soul to seek from women what only the Father can give.

The “mama’s boy syndrome” becomes the soil where lust and pornography grow—not because men are driven by raw desire, but because they are conditioned to look to the feminine, or effeminate males, for comfort, validation, and emotional refuge. Lust becomes a counterfeit womb, a place to hide, a place to feel something when courage and identity are absent. And while I was never prone to the obsession of pornography itself, I was entrapped by immorality in the worst way, real-time immorality, because the root was the same: a misplaced dependence on women to soothe the ache that only the Spirit was meant to heal. This is why so many men fall—not from hunger for pleasure, but from a wounded boy’s longing for comfort. Only the Life of Yeshua can break that cycle and restore a man to true strength.

NOTE: Most men who are trapped in pornography find it more comforting to “look” and “don’t touch” because they have trained their flesh to demand comfort without the inward hate of being controlled by a female figure. This is why, in counseling, I teach men that pornography sets them up for stage one of homosexuality.

As an example, many men will do what is called “ghost reading,” the same sin of pornography, they read without being known, they’re reading in the fear of male accountability.

TRANSGENDER IDEOLOGIES

Many of the young men I see today who are swept into the cultural currents of gender confusion are, at the root, carrying the same wound I once carried—the wound of the over‑mothered, under‑fathered boy.

When a boy grows up without the stabilizing presence of a strong Biblical father, or the fear of an overt Biblical father, and becomes emotionally fused to an overprotective mother, which forms lust in a boy, he never learns where his creational male identity truly comes from. His sense of self remains fragile, undefined, and easily shaped by whatever voice offers comfort or a sense of belonging. That kind of internal instability makes him vulnerable to any ideology that promises relief from confusion or a new identity to replace the one he never fully formed. I believe this is why so many “mama’s boys” today feel pulled toward the transitioning narratives of our culture—not because they are seeking rebellion, but because they are seeking the identity, security, and belonging they found in their mothers, thus becoming a female mother figure—transitioning.

THIS IS AT THE ROOT OF ALL HOMOSEXUAL BEHAVIOR!

Without the Father’s voice anchoring them, they reach for whatever depraved story that seems to offer a self they can finally live with.

Freedom isn’t free!

Freedom is not free; it’s a lot of work! It took years—and the refining fire of the Spirit—for me to be released from hyper dependence on a woman. The process was painful, like tearing away layers of comfort that had become chains. But through Yeshua’s transforming power, I discovered that true love does not smother—it strengthens.

One of the leading marital troubles I suffered with is piling up male responsibilities upon Jane’s shoulders. My counselor said many years ago, if I don’t begin shouldering the responsibilities of male-hood, I would be responsible for destroying our marriage. That day marked a major shift in me. I learned to be the man God called and created me to be. Yes, it took multiple years of discipleship by my male mentor. Keith, my counselor at the time, said I needed to avoid leaning on women for mentorship/discipleship for the remainder of my life. Further stating that if I violate this Biblical principle, it will throw me back into my childhood pattern. This was advice I have kept to this hour.

My life discovery? God is male, His Son is male, and if men do not walk in freedom of being delivered from their mama’s skirt, intimacy with God the Father through His Son, likely will never happen!

The Father taught me that masculinity is not born from defiance, but from surrender to His maleness through the Spirit. Only then could I step out from behind the skirts of protection and stand as the ma n He intended me to be—whole, courageous, and filled with His Life.

As Jack stood before the grotesque form of Flabby Flesh, the forest seemed to tighten around him, pressing in with suffocating deception. But in the midst of that darkness, the voice of the Lion of Judah rose within Jack’s mind—steady, fierce, and unmistakably alive. “Jack, My Life is your strength. My word is your weapon. Stand.” The Lion’s presence surged through him like fire in his bones, pushing back the fog of confusion and awakening a courage Jack didn’t know he carried. With every breath, he felt the Lion’s authority filling him, reminding him that this battle was not fought alone.

JACK FACES FLABBY FLESH WITHOUT FEAR

A battle line was drawn in the dirt between them, invisible yet undeniable. Flabby Flesh swelled with arrogance, its voice twisting truth into poison, its words designed to unravel Jack’s resolve. Deception thickened like smoke, curling around Jack’s thoughts, trying to pull him off the Gold Brick Road. But Jack answered every lie with a word from the Lion—truth for deception, light for darkness, authority for accusation. Each exchange struck like a clash of swords, the air trembling with the collision of two kingdoms. Jack’s voice grew stronger, steadier, as the Lion’s truth poured through him.

Finally, when the creature’s fury peaked and its deceptions reached their darkest pitch, Jack felt the Lion’s command rise within him: “Finish it.” With a roar that was not his own, Jack drew his sword—the sword the Lion had placed in his spirit long before this moment. Light flashed across the battlefield as Jack struck, cutting through the creature’s lies, its form, its power. Flabby Flesh collapsed in fear, then stood up and ran into the Dark Forest, the forest falling silent in awe. Jack stood victorious, not by his strength, but by the indwelling Life of the Lion of Judah who fought through him.

Consolidate global political power. The prophetic portrait of the Antichrist begins in the crucible of chaos: economic collapse, cultural fracture, wars, and widespread fear.

Most earthlings fail to see how the Antichrist will actually seize full global power because they imagine a sudden, brute takeover rather than a cunning, cooperative conquest.

He will not overthrow every throne at once; he will make use of the powers each nation already possesses—their armies, markets, media, legal systems, and religious institutions—and weave them into a single, coherent cause. By exploiting crisis and exhaustion, offering engineered peace and pragmatic solutions, he will coax sovereign states into accords, pacts, and centralized structures that look like unity but function as instruments of control. The Beast’s horns are not independent rivals but willing contributors; each nation lends its strength and legitimacy, unaware that their cooperation is consolidating authority under one will. The result is a global order that feels inevitable and benevolent to many, yet demands a surrender of loyalties that competes with the Lordship of Yeshua.

FIRST, THIS MUST HAPPEN!

He will wear the world down by design—stoking relentless hatred, fanning conflicts, and amplifying rumors of wars until exhaustion becomes the common currency of nations.

In that fevered climate, fear multiplies and hope grows thin; people trade liberty for the illusion of safety and begin to crave any hand that promises to still the storm. The Antichrist’s strategy is not sudden conquest but attrition: keep the world off balance, keep loyalties frayed, and let the promise of order sound sweeter than the cost of vigilance. When the cry for peace becomes a global plea, a counterfeit peacemaker will step forward—offering engineered calm that demands allegiance, not repentance—so that what looks like rescue is in fact the final tightening of a deceptive reign.

This is the stage we are in with the forthcoming Antichrist!

Out of that disarray, a figure rises to prominence who promises order and security, and whose leadership appears to stitch together the loose ends of a broken world.

This consolidation is not accidental but strategic—an engineered peace that draws fractured nations and rival kingdoms into a single, centralized authority. The imagery of the Beast and its horns captures that political architecture: multiple powers subordinated to a single dominant will, a coalition that appears unified but functions as control.

His ascent is political theater and practical engineering at once. He leverages crises to legitimize extraordinary measures, offering solutions that seem both necessary and irresistible to exhausted people. Diplomatic accords, economic pacts, and security arrangements become the scaffolding for a new global order. What begins as cooperation quickly hardens into coercion, because the consolidation of power always narrows the space for dissent. The very mechanisms that promise stability—centralized decision-making, enforced uniformity, and surveillance of allegiance—also provide the means to demand absolute loyalty.

The symbolism of the horns is instructive: they represent the constituent powers that give the Beast its authority, yet those horns are not independent in the end.

They are instruments of a single design. In biblical imagination, this unity is a counterfeit of the kingdom of God—an order built on human ambition, deception, and the suppression of covenantal truth. Where God’s reign is rooted in covenant, justice, and sacrificial love, the Antichrist’s order is rooted in expedience, spectacle, and self‑exaltation. The apparent peace he offers is therefore fragile, dependent on fear and manipulation rather than on righteousness.

For the people of God, the consolidation of global political power is both a warning and a test.

It will present believers with a stark choice between worldly security and fidelity to the King of kings. The call is not merely to resist a political program but to recognize the spiritual logic beneath it: a demand for allegiance that competes with the Lordship of Yeshua. Scripture’s prophetic warnings invite discernment—seeing through the veneer of order to the coercive heart beneath—and a steadfastness that refuses to barter worship for safety.

Finally, the prophetic narrative assures us that such consolidation is temporary and judged. The Beast’s unity, however impressive, is built on shifting sand and will be exposed in the light of divine truth. The consolidation of power that looks like the end of history is in fact a chapter in God’s sovereign story—a chapter that calls the Church to remain faithful, to bear witness, and to trust that ultimate authority belongs to the One whose kingdom is not made by human hands.

NEVER FORGET

Remember that the Rapture will remove born‑again believers from the scene, and what remains will be a stark, altered world stage: the 144,000 pure‑bloodline Jews sealed for God’s purpose, and the multitudes who never bowed the knee are those left behind. It is these who will witness the Antichrist’s counterfeit consolidation—nations stitched together under a single authority that looks like peace but functions as bondage. Freed from the faithful witness of the Church, the world’s exhaustion and fear will make the deception easier to accept, and the sealed remnant and the godless alike will see how quickly cooperation becomes coercion.

Special Note: Yood–Tav marks its beginning in our modern calendar at 30 AD—the year of Yeshua’s crucifixion—while the Hebrew calendar identifies this point as the moment Yeshua died, meaning the year of After Death is 00. Plus, it verifies His exact age as being 33 years, anchoring the 4,000‑year Yood–Tav timeline from Adam to the Messiah’s atoning work.

It should also be noted that this timeline does not forecast the exact year of Yeshua’s return for His Bride, but it does reveal the season in which that moment will unfold.

The Rapture and the Second Coming of Yeshua are two entirely different movements in God’s prophetic timeline, and Scripture keeps them beautifully distinct. At the Rapture, Yeshua does not descend to the earth—He calls His Bride upward, meeting her in the air as Paul describes in 1 Thessalonians 4. It is a private, Bride‑centered event, a moment of rescue, the final Passover, and removal in which the redeemed are empowered by the Spirit to rise and be gathered to their Bridegroom. No judgment falls at the Rapture; it is an act of deliverance, not wrath. It is the fulfillment of Yeshua’s promise: “I will come again and take you to Myself.”

AVOID CONFUSION

The Second Coming is the opposite in both purpose and posture. In that event, Yeshua does not meet anyone in the air—He returns all the way to the earth in visible, physical glory. His feet touch the Mount of Olives. The nations see Him. Judgment is executed. The armies of the world are confronted. And the King establishes His throne to inaugurate the long‑awaited Millennial Sabbath. One event removes the Bride before wrath; the other brings the King to rule after wrath.

The Rapture is upward. The Second Coming is downward.

And together they form the two great movements of Messiah’s return, each fulfilling a different promise in the redemptive plan of God.

The official Second Coming of Yeshua is not about gathering the Bride—that moment belongs to the Rapture. The Second Coming is the climactic return of the King to end Satan’s rule, overthrow the Antichrist and his system, and execute righteous judgment upon the earth. It is the day when every eye will see Him, when the nations that rejected His lordship will face the justice they refused in grace. At His return, Yeshua descends in physical form, His feet touching the Mount of Olives, splitting it in two as He establishes His throne in Jerusalem.

From that moment forward, He reigns in perfect peace for 1,000 years, fulfilling the long‑promised Sabbath Millennial—a world put on pause, judgment fulfilled through the Great White Throne of Judgment, and righteousness governing the nations under the authority of the King of kings, which will usher in the New Earth.

A PARCHED SOUL

The horizon stretches endlessly, and the silence presses against the soul until even hope seems to evaporate. Yet it’s in that barren place—where strength fails, and the heart cracks open—that the voice of the Lord is clearest. The desert is not punishment; it’s to create thirst. It strips away illusion, exposes independence, and teaches me that the same God who allows the drought also commands the streams to flow again.

Those words sound noble and comforting, but living them out while sitting amid constant trials is another story entirely. This is parchment of the soul.

When the desert isn’t metaphorical but painfully real—when the heat of loss, disappointment, and unanswered prayers burns day after day—the promise of rain can feel distant. It’s one thing to speak of faith in hindsight; it’s another to cling to it when the sand is in your mouth, and the horizon offers no relief. In those moments, endurance becomes worship, and trust is no longer obligation—it’s survival.

Jane and I recently received devastating news—news that struck with a kind of pain unlike anything we’ve ever known. It’s the sort of blow that doesn’t just land once; it lingers, it reshapes the air around you. There are moments when the sorrow feels too heavy to name, when even breathing feels like an act of endurance. We’re doing our best in Christ to stand, to trust, to keep our eyes lifted, but the truth is that some valleys are so deep they can only be walked one trembling step at a time.

This past year has been one of the roughest Jane and I have ever walked through—layer upon layer of loss, death of loved ones, health battles that shook us to the core, family devastations that cut deeper than words can reach, and other wounds still too painful to speak aloud.

It has at times felt like wave after wave crashing before we could catch our breath, each one carrying its own kind of grief. We’ve done our best in Christ to stand, to pray, to keep moving forward, but the truth is that some seasons don’t just test your strength—they expose the places where only God can hold you together.

Every believer, no matter how seasoned or sincere, walks through seasons when the soul feels like parchment—dry, fragile, and easily torn.

We carry wounds that don’t heal overnight and circumstances that press harder than our beliefs ever prepared us for. These aren’t signs of weak faith; they’re the realities of living in a broken world while clinging to a perfect Christ. In those moments, trust isn’t effortless—it’s costly. It’s choosing to believe His heart when our own feels cracked. It’s holding on to His promises when everything around us argues otherwise. And yet, it’s often in these barren stretches that our dependence deepens, our worship becomes raw, and our confidence in Yeshua is forged with a strength that only deserts can produce.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”

The Lord leads us into desert seasons not to abandon us, but to drive us to the only well that never runs dry—the indwelling spring of His Life within. When everything familiar fails, and every outward source of strength evaporates, the soul is forced to turn inward to the One who lives in us. The desert strips away the illusion that we can sustain ourselves; it exposes our thirst so we will finally drink deeply from the Living Water already flowing inside.

I scribbled this poem early one morning in August of last year. I was crying & shattered by the loss of life around me. All I could pray was, “So much sorrow, Lord!” While processing physical deaths in that month, I also became aware of a very real spiritual demise that resulted in relational deaths. I concluded that though there are many forms of death, physical isn’t necessarily the worst. Painful? Absolutely! Hopeless? Never… for anyone who has believed & received the Lord Jesus. Loving is part of that loss. But on the flip side, death in relationship, that yields ongoing loss, can leave you depleted & disillusioned by the sifting of trying to figure out what happened.

So yesterday, when another relational/spiritual loss was delivered like an arrow to my heart, I felt numb…& stuck… by my inability to process aloud. I reread Familiar Gone…again. Why? Because God’s Truth is a balm to my soul when I have no words. My notebook lies open, on the corner of my desk, to the page with these scribbles. I can’t even count how often I’ve gone back to those inspired words that remind me Who wins.

It’s sobering, & heartbreaking, to realize that the overall familiar that’s gone, in our culture, is the honor & respect due the Lord God Almighty. As our Creator & Redeemer, losing focus of His loving sovereignty quickly causes a downward spiral to death…of one kind or another. I watch it daily because it’s everywhere. I’m not exaggerating when I say that everyone I know carries an unusual burden of relational sorrow.

I’ve read Second Timothy, chapter 3, for years. I used to say that verses 1-9 read like a bad movie. Now I see that the movie is real & present & spiritually dangerous. Given the detailed description of deceived people who refuse to submit to God, is it any wonder that we are in turmoil while watching lie-driven choices unraveling lives? BUT GOD does not leave us stranded in this sorrow. Verses 10-17 are a Truth-filled rally, a call of encouragement that continues through all of chapter 4. I need these reminders often! As indwelt believers, our Familiar is eternal & never gone! We can know sorrow but still live in His hope & peace in our souls.

“In my prayers I keep asking the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the glorious Father, to give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you will have full knowledge of Him. I pray that He will give light to the eyes of your hearts, so that you will understand the hope to which He has called you, what rich glories there are in the inheritance He has promised His people, and how surpassingly great is His power working in us who trust Him.” (Ephesians 1:15-19) So be it unto us, dear Lord!

The Scriptures speak with sobering precision about the Antichrist, presenting him not as a mere symbol of evil but as a real individual who will rise in real history and exercise real authority during a literal seven‑year reign.

Yet the Bible’s greatest concern is not that believers identify him by sight, but that they discern him by Spirit. In an age where the world is rapidly losing its bearings—morally, spiritually, and intellectually—the call of Scripture is not to panic but to abide. Only the indwelling Life of Yeshua can give clarity in a time when deception becomes the atmosphere of the age.

The Temptation to Be Undiscerning:

A growing tragedy within the modern church is that the lion’s share of believers are slipping into a posture of spiritual undiscerningness, a condition Scripture repeatedly warns against. Instead of testing all things, many now accept cultural narratives, emotional impulses, and popular teachings without weighing them against the Word or listening to the indwelling Spirit of Truth.

Hebrews speaks of those who, “by reason of use,” have trained their senses to discern good and evil—implying that discernment is the fruit of maturity, not through the mind of Christ from within. Yet today, multitudes remain on spiritual milk, unable to distinguish truth from error, light from darkness, or the voice of Yeshua from the noise of the age.

This drift is not merely unfortunate; it is dangerous, for Paul taught that the last days would be marked by deception so persuasive that only those anchored in the Spirit would withstand it.

When believers cease exercising discernment, they become vulnerable to false teachers, counterfeit signs, and the subtle seductions of a world untethered from truth. The church’s crisis is not a lack of information—it is a lack of spiritual perception. And without the indwelling discernment that comes from abiding in Christ, even well‑meaning believers can be swept into the currents of a culture that no longer knows which way is up.

PAUL REFUSED TO BE DUMMED DOWN

Paul describes the Antichrist as the “man of lawlessness” who exalts himself above every so‑called god, John calls him “the beast” who deceives the nations, and Daniel portrays him as a ruler who speaks arrogant words and wears out the saints. His power will be spiritual as much as political, his influence seductive rather than merely global, and his agenda centered on worship rather than simple control. He will not appear as a monster but as a marvel—seemingly the answer to a world drowning in chaos—which is why Yeshua warned that deception would be the defining mark of the last days.

SPECIAL NOTE: Believers alive today must remember that the window for spiritual readiness is limited, and Scripture makes it clear that this season of grace extends only up to the moment of the Rapture. Until that day, there remains the opportunity to grow, repent, mature, become an indwelt Christian, and cultivate the indwelling discernment necessary to stand firm in a world unraveling at the seams. But once the Rapture occurs, there is no turning back—no second chance to prepare, no opportunity to suddenly become discerning, no time to develop the spiritual backbone that should have been formed in the age of grace. Paul warns that after the departure of the restraining influence, God will allow a strong delusion to sweep over those who refused to love the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10–12). This means the urgency is now! The call to wake up is now. The invitation to abide deeply in Yeshua is now. For those who belong to Him, today is the day to “make your calling and election sure,” because after the trumpet sounds, the door of preparation closes forever.

The World is Losing Its Bearings!

The world is not drifting randomly; it is drifting prophetically. Paul warned that the last days would be marked by confusion, moral collapse, spiritual dullness, counterfeit signs, and a global appetite for lies.

We are watching these conditions ripen before our eyes because a world that rejects the compass of God’s truth inevitably loses its bearings. When truth collapses, deception thrives; and when deception thrives, the Antichrist will rise. In such an atmosphere, indwelling discernment is no longer optional. Scripture never instructs believers to outsmart the Antichrist; it commands them to abide in the indwelling Life of the Messiah.

John reminds us that we have an anointing from the Holy One that teaches us all things, meaning discernment is not suspicion, talent, or intelligence—it is Christ in us, revealing truth in a world of lies. Without this indwelling discernment, even sincere believers will be vulnerable, for Yeshua warned that the deception of the last days would be so strong that, if possible, even the elect would be led astray.

This is why preparation for the seven‑year reign—Daniel’s 70th Week—cannot be casual. Fully knowing that I will not be here after the Rapture—nor will any authentic believer—I labor now to produce media, teachings, and publications that will remain as a witness for those left behind. Everything I place on the internet is intentionally crafted so that, in the chaos that follows our departure, seekers may still find truth, clarity, and discover the reason Yeshua called authentic believers home before the Antichrist is released.

Those who are not caught up with the Lord in the Rapture will be exposed to the difference between those who merely profess Christ and those who possess His Life.

Preparation is not stockpiling but abiding, not fear but faithfulness, not retreat but spiritual clarity. Since there will be many antichrists leading up to the “big boy” himself, believers must cultivate intimacy with Yeshua, learn to hear His voice, anchor themselves in Scripture, practice obedience now, walk in Body Life, and refuse the world's narratives.

WE NEED TO WITNESS NOW!

The seven‑year reign will not be a time for second-chance salvations; it will be a time that reveals the depth of darkness like never seen before in world history. As for today, as the age grows darker, the indwelt believer needs to shine brighter, just as Daniel prophesied that the wise would shine like the brightness of the sky. This wisdom is not intellect but spiritual clarity—the ability to see through deception because the Light of Christ lives within.

The Antichrist may have a power never seen by humanity before, but he will not have truth; he may have authority, but he will not have Life; he may have followers, but he will not have the Spirit. He will be like an overeducated AI with no life.

Up to the nanosecond of the Rapture, the remnant—those who walk in the indwelling Life of Yeshua—will stand firm because they are rooted in Someone greater than the world’s final counterfeit. Thus, the rise of the Antichrist is not meant to terrify the believer but to awaken them. The world is losing its bearings, but the Body of Messiah must not.

The call of this hour is simple and urgent: abide deeply, discern clearly, stand firmly, and love boldly.

The Antichrist will deceive the world, but he cannot deceive those who walk in the Light of the indwelling Christ. The seven‑year reign will test the nations, but it will also reveal the 144,000 pure bloodline Jews true sons and daughters of God—those whose discernment flows not from fear, but from union with Yeshua Himself.
